This is the same thing President Jonathan did close to the Ekiti and Osun elections. The cut down the allowance of the states and also held some of the money due to them hence they could not pay their workers or allow the government function properly.

It was even alleged that Governor Aregbesola has to take soft loans from Lagos and Rivers to offset worker's salary when the elections came close can Rivers or Akwa Ibom loan Kogi some cash? I can't say

Governor Idris Wada is going into an election in 21 days while owing workers between 2-8 months salaries. This means there are a lot of people who are angry at him and will possibly not vote for him because of that hence he is boxed in.

This is an unfortunate type of politics we are playing in Nigeria as the workers are the ones that suffer for it but then again, the question has to be asked that why has Kogi not been able to find other ways to finance the state?

Audu might look like the underdogs in the November 21st elections but no. Governor Idris Wada is really the underdog.

You just digest Aregbesola excuse of recklessness. After GEJ left and PMB took over, why was he still oweing workers salary? After he collected is bail out, why was he still owing, abi na still GEJ.

PMB is scared of PDP in Kogi, withholding their bail-out fund doesn't change the will of the people. If our president really have integrity, why giving Audu that loot 11billion naira tactical support? See change o

You are the one being funny here. How come Governor Fayose took over late last year and yet he was the one who received the 2 billion ecological funds and the refunds for the federal roads fixed under governor Fayemi?
http://nigeriapoliticsonline.com/fayose-admits-hes-in-custody-of-n2b-ecological-fund/

Why is it that Osun state never got refunds for federal roads fixed but Ekiti got theirs?

Urw the gullible one here. I still can't fathom why simple lies can knock you off like this. These so called apc guys that are crying wolves are nothing but bunch of lairs who has nothing to offer this country that terrible lies supported with change slogan. They simply play on people's intelligence.the case of ogun state is thus.most federal roads in ogun had been bidded for and in most instance Julius Berger won. The roads were awarded only for the state government to tell the Fg that it will undertake same at a ridiculously exaggerated inflated costs. However the fg said it could pay and the came out with their normal propaganda and get pple like you dr

Any money given to Wada will be looted. Idris Wada has spent the last 4yrs mismanaging Kogi - any money you give him now will be spent in funding his rigging schemes and will not be used in paying salaries which he refused to pay. This debt is not inherited from another administration - it is his legacy, not paying the workers.

Don't be partial man. Why was the same released to Osun state? Was the debt inherited? Worse still, the foolish APC Governor is yet to pay those arrears.

APC is just a new PDP in government albeit more glaringly partisan.

Kogi workers are not complaining because they do no want their salaries to be used as campaign funds by the incumbent governor. In fact, that is the reason the money has not been released. I have it from a good source that the governor only requested for such a huge sum as bail out so he could embezzle everything. In a few months time Wada will leave and kogi indegenes will at least have some reprieve from the lesser of the two demon contestants we have.

Plausible but may not be the reason. Niger State for example used her allocation to fund the election early this year and luckily they lost. Politicians can be very wicked. There's no guarantee that they'll use the money wisely.
