I believe the Federal Government will still fulfill this promise. With the parlous state of the economy, it might not be feasible to do so now. Nigerians should exercise a little patience in this regard.

Buhari is just a disgrace...
In sane countries, a dullard of this calibre would be in Elderly homes, fed by NGOs. But here we have someone who would insult out sensibilities...making unfound promises dat is never feasible. And still. deny the rest.
OK. which one have u been able to deliver?
Answer==None!!
Big shame!

Truly, when a dullard rules, the people regret!

I pressume dat is wea ur stupid and horrible father is now ?

I do not believe that the PDP senators brought that issue up out of their patriotisms but to spite the APC senators as a fallout of the last ministerial screening.
so what is ur point? The issue remains that APc and buhari made that promise and many voted for them believing they will fulfill it . Are the representatives of the ppl not morally right to ask buhari and APc to fulfill their pledge and vow

I think d senate av done well to av discuss about d rate f unemployment in d country, but that not enough for us as a citizen to call PMB dullard or all kinds of names.. Moreso 5months is not enough to criticise dis present administration cos dis country as gone beyond a quick repain as to wat we think or we know abt dis govt....

wasn't able to take all surprised when I read it was seconded by Godswill Akpabio. These people are just busy looking for a way to make the Buhari administration fail or commit a grave error.

With the finacial state of the country, inability to pay salaries of state's workers who had to be bailed out by federal funds, it grossly irresponsible for any senator to be pushing such an agenda in parliament.

OR did the Buhari Administration also promised to bail out state governors that will be unable to pay their workers? So it's obvious recent events have overtaken whatever may have been said before. if the promise must be fulfilled, it is obvious it cannot be now.

You're the gullible Nigerian. Could you tell us if it's Buhari that prepared the budget of 2015, and made provision for the said amount for unemployed youths?

If Buhari will fulfil that promise, it wouldn't be now.....

The country is not financially buoyant to effect such promise yet!!

So I'll advice everyone to be reasonable.....

I can remember wen such issue was raised under the Jonathan's administration, it was outrightly shot out by former senate President David Mark.

Liars, we knew right fro? time that buhari cannot and will not fulfill such a bogus promise. As a millitary head when pdp had not destroyed the economy and unemployment was not so rampant, was he able to do any of what he promised his illitrate fellows in the 21st century?

PDP senators are not different from their nairaland counterparts; they're all blockheads. How can Buhari implement his 5000 naira promise to unemployed youths when the current budget was implemented by him?

The blockheads senators should ask David Mark to tell Nigerians why he said giving ex-corps members 20,000 monthly for a year after their service would make them lazy.

Only foolish people like you are actually waiting (in vain) for #5,000 every month when your mates like FaceBook Zuckerberg are Billionaires!

Go and start a "self employment" like Barbing, Tailoring, Cobbler, Recharge-card selling, e.t.c .... and stop wasting your lives, waiting for #5K.

Hard working peeps dont give a darn about that peanut!

The only people that can and should qualify for such money are Widows/Widowers and the aged (over 60) who dont have a source of income.
