This shows a major DEFICIENCY in our society whereby our 36 state governors have refused to RECRUIT professional, qualified teachers using NYSC corpers every year thus increasing UNEMPLOYMENT of our youths and defeating one of the main objectives of the NYSC- fresh graduates gain RELEVANT experience to their study, not so  Smart youths should be PROTESTING this abuse rather than making fun of this SAD, terrible situation. The one who doesnt compose lesson plan. That was me when I served, I used the school teacher's old note to teach the children. HOD was always on my case to submit my notes but i always won cos as i taught so darn well and the students loved me  .1 Like |

I belong to the ace, comedian, counsellor and noob groups; Together with my roommate we both tutored a couple of our students to their annual career fair and quiz. Although I wasn't present at the event, I learnt they performed excellently in Mathematics (which is what I teach). There are times when the students complain of being tired because they feel I'm a workaholic who doesn't know when to rest. Teaching has been a fun experience but I don't have plans of pursuing a career in the field. Long live NYSC Long live the Izon nation Long live Nigeria |

anonimi:This is my major problem with the scheme, most if not all state govts are not interested in employing the required personnel because they know there is always a batch of Corps members they can use in bridging the gap at a very cheap cost. You can imagine a situation where a school has just one maths teacher, no physics and chemistry teachers, commerce etc. These are core subjects for the science and commercial students.
