This is factual intellectual deposition of the issue at stake. This is different from the brash, antagonistic Oritsejafor diatribe which tends to divide rather than find solution. |

EddyNumerouno:Thank you. And they'll be saying the underdevelopment in the region is a result of the governing principles of the colonial authorities, 55 years after the end of colonial rule o! Imagine someone preaching about women's rights, while his wife and daughter go about their daily businesses veiled up in burqa. The earlier they face the truth and tackle their demons, the better. Hypocrisy won't take anyone anywhere. 2 Likes |

Until the truth is said, we will continue to grapple with the issue of boko haran. Solution to the problem will certainly emerged if we accept the ugly truth that boko haran is a creation of Islam. 1 Like |

Islam is a religion which doesn't like to accommodate democracy or "western education" , hence the poor Muslims will forever be enslaved to the callous and cunny elites... 1 Like |

The other day El-Rufai decided to put an end to street-begging, and they spoke out against it. Couldn't believe my ears when I heard Shehu Sani's take on the matter. Everywhere on the streets is littered with Almajiri boys, singing "Allah ya kiare" in request for alms. Many of them cannot recite 1 to 10. In a country where you need to be educated in order to aspire to political positions, these kids are effectively (being) disenfranchised. And almost no one bats an eyelid. It's normal. Now when "normal" comes with an abnormal fury, everyone will resort to denial. Comedians everywhere! 3 Likes |

Well said, if only they will separate religion from politics, Nigeria will be the better for it. The only way to stop this, is to educate the over 15 million out of school children in the not. 1 Like |

I agree with some of the views. But we never forget the role that Matthew Hassan Kukah and other Christian clergy and elites played in goading Boko Haram into monsters. They it was that propagated the view that Boko Haram was founded, by this same Muslim leaders he is now accusing, with the sole aim of annihilating Christians. They highlighted minority Christian victimization and seemed to rejoice the majority Muslim victimization by Boko Haram. It was the same northern Christian clergy and elites that follow convinced Jonathan, a Christian, along that line. That's how Boko Haram grew into the monsters that they are today. It's the case of the pot calling kettle black. |

I agree in some ways to what Kukah said. I had always wondered abt the North despite so many pple in important positions coming forth from the North than any other part of Nigeria, there is nothing to show for it, just major decay, gross ignorance, illiteracy, minimal development, everything is just upside down. U see many of them down South begging for alms or doing menial jobs apart from the traders. And back home is no better. We av really wicked and self centered leaders in Nigeria but theirs is worse. One of the thing fueling BH is the high lvl of illiteracy and ignorance in the populace, these BH minions don't even know much abt their religion, if they knew they wld certainly not contemplate suicide nor mass homicide, they are brain washed by the devil-incarnate sponsors into thinking what they are doing is right and they will get rewarded for it. They shouting Allahu Akbar doesn't mean what they are doing is for Islam or for Allah. They are commiting major sins in the sight of Allah. They might bear Muslim names but it doesn't excuse the fact that their actions are anti-Islam. I pray this menace comes to an end soon, and may the faces of their sponsors and their evil agendas being covered up by religion be exposed to the World. 3 Likes |

This's why I would like Boko haram to keep killing themselves in the north forever. This killing started off in the 70's and 80's as killing of christians and people from southern Nigeria, but no northerner bat an eyelid on the killing of fellow Nigerians. Churches, Hotels and restaurants belonging to southerners were burnt for selling beer and alcohol, but instead of northern leaders condemning the rampaging youths, they were encouraged to protect islam and sharia law. Surprisingly, they turned the gun on themselves. Why should I care? Reap what you sow!. 2 Likes |

Some form of solution to our issues as a country can be found in the report of the 2014 national conference report. But is the president willing to look at it? Is he willing to implement some of it? Will politics and pride allow him? Your guess is as good as mine. charix: 3 Likes |
