take Linda Ikeji, Rita dominic and Genevive nnaji for instance....anytime they put up anything about them here, you see comments like "where are their husbands? dem no wan marry? dem Don dey reach menopause, no husband"

when you decide to check those behind those comments, you discover that a lot of them are the males...not just here tho, on other social networks I've come across..... they say it as tho it's compulsory that everyone would get married...like really??

Ya, I too do read such comments but I laugh it off. Those who harbour such mentality feels discontented that a woman who is 'created' to be in the kitchen preparing food for her hubby, breeding kids, and rigorously performing house chores can be independent and make hay out of their lives without bearing Mrs.

To them it is abominable for a woman to attain success without using a man as a springboard in reaching such heights. And in a bid to retaliate the shellacking and self-inflicted injuries on themselves, they'd to attack these successful ladies on what they have earned for themselves by constantly berating them for achieving what they (the men) couldn't achieved.

The likes of Genevieve and miss Ikeji and the rest poses no threat to anyone and they are women with rare qualities and who need emulation from young Nigerian women. They have proven that a woman can become successful without marriage.
