Its the civil servants that plan and prepare the budget. They are not innocent at all. Ut is because the civil servants didn't do their jobs well that the budget issue rubbished the president so they deserve to lose their jobs. Even permanent secretaries should be sacked

Wetin concern the President n minister o. Ministers are politicians assigned to watch over the ministries n its the permanent secretaries that are career civil servants and in charge of running the ministries and budget issues so I think the civil servants should suffer the brunt of their irresponsibility

If budget is not the making of a President and his Ministers which one are the ministers defending at the National Assembly?

And what about his ministers? Can't they go thru at least the allocations for their individual ministries? Are they ministers only for the sharing of spoils of war or they are representing the federal republic of Nigeria?

And it's also important to note that as serious as the budget is to the nation, it wouldn't have been out of place if the president suspends one or two of his numerous useless junkets and read thru the budget himself. Serious presidents would have done that so don't make excuses for the inexcusable...

1. Is the budget office responsible for the preparation of the budgets of ministries, departments and agencies?
2. Did the budget office stop vthe ministers from going through the budget before presenting the budget to the president?
3. Did the budget office also stop the president from going through the budget before final presentation to the senate?
4. what is the work of the budget office?
In a sane environment, all the ministers should have voluntarily resigned or fired by the preisdent because of gross incompetence and the president should officially withdraw the budget and tender an unreserved apology to the citzens for this insult and slap on the face.

The president him self is also to resign. And credit should be given to the NASS cos it was only when the budget got to them that all these defects became open

Even if he couldn't skim through the entire budget, what of the fraudulent and insensitive allocations made for the Presidency alone? PMB is just as guilty.

If Bubu is not aware of the Budget before it escalates to this, then he lied or not competent. Why would he sack innocent civil servants? I think he's just clearing some personal shame here! Poor civil servants.

Now compare d number of civil servants sacked to d number of jobless youths n hungry families(over 5m), whose access to a welfare package has been delayed due to their inefficiencies/incompetence?

Do u imagine what could happen if those hordes were let loose on them? Some have been praying for God to remove all obstacles from their path to the welfare package, they constituted a hindrance and now must pay d price.
