US supports the 2 state solution. Israel restated its commitment to the 2 state solution. Please bring evidence to the contrary.

You should first give us evidence for your claims before asking for contrary evidence.

Palestine wants Jerusalem as its capital...this is will never happen. It does not matter how many countries of the world agree with Palestine, Israel will never allow this. The prophecy is in the Bible if u check Zephaniah Chapter 2...Gaza will be a desolate....I advise the Palestine to learn how to live in peace with Israel...No amount of gang up will move Israel......Ask Egpty,...read about 6days war with the Arabs....these guys are God's elect.

The same manner you deny that B. in Nigeria can't be freed, that Referendum is alien to Nigeria, your Two-States solution in the Israeli-Arab problem is also denied by Hamas who refuse that Israel must exist.

Don't expect Israel to agree to statehood to a neighbour who believes that Israel can't exist.
Don't know how old most of you towing this line of argument are but you appear so ignorant.

There is no similarity between the Nigeria-Biafra issue and Palestine-Israel issue. Is Biafra a country with a government??

but in Nigeria some people are fighting the same cause since 1967 that lost more than 3million lives, can somebody tells this man that charity begins at home

The two issues are quite different: One is about land grabbing in the form of ethnic cleansing in violation of international laws;while the other is about greed and blatant blackmail.

Sweden announced that it will recognize the state of Palestine, becoming the first member of the European Union to do so. Stefan Lofven became the prime minister of a new center-left government this month and used his inaugural address to parliament to say that a “two-state solution requires mutual recognition and a will to peaceful co-existence. Sweden will therefore recognize the state of Palestine.”
Currently, more than 130 countries officially recognize Palestine:

The fact that other countries are pledging support for the palastanian state does make Buhari eligible to support them as well. This is because he has a similar case at home that he's yet to resolve.
He is supposed to be indifferent about the issue. As a wise leader, you don't have to comment on every issue.
He should better take clue from GEJ.

Nigeria already recognize Palestine as a state reason why they maintain an embassy here. Buhari is stating an opinion held by the UN and long held by nearly all African country who understand how bad colonialism was to us.

Israel cannot base their claims of Palestine on the same bible they wrote to take the land from the original owners. About time Palestinians had a nation of their own. I support this hundred percent, but not with religious sentiment.

Palestinians are the most secular among the Arabs.

Something is wrong some where

Actually, something is wrong because these things are mainly possible in Nigeria and some other African countries because, only dullards carries the day. You can be the worst of illiterate and still rule in this country. A good example is Olajumoke Orisaguna over Ayodele Daniel Dada. The illiterate Olajumoke lords it over the super talented, super gifted and super bright Ayodele.

So it has always been like that..

By the way, I don't oppose the realisation of Biafra. Hell, if anything, I want you guys to GO so we can live in peace. What I'm against is you people trying to blackmail the government into getting what you want. You go about it like repugnant thugs who know nothing about how modern societies work. No lobbying, nothing- just negative propaganda.

It is just irritating.

lobby for what? Was there any lobby pre 1914? Did ahmadu bello lobby b4 wanting to pull out until zik and the british appealed to him? Isnt there a pull out from the union clause after a 100yrs on the almagamation document? What sorta lobbying are you yelling about,do u lobby for ur God given freedom?

Biafra had a government for about three years, recognized by some member nations of the UN.

More people have been killed in the agitation for Biafra than had been killed in the agitation for a Palestinian State.

WHAT SORT OF LOBBYING DO YOU WANT BIAFRA TO EMPLOY?
Okay, let me oblige you for a moment.

Who were the member nations of UN that recognised Biafra??

Who was the president of Biafra??

Who were the ministers??

Who were the people that made up the "government of Biafra"??

I need names and evidence and not some pedestrian mumbo jumbo.

Thanks.

We clearly have a confused president with misplaced priority. What's your bother with Palestinian Israelie conflict..,, do you know where Help for Nigeria will come from, why comment and align yourself with Palestinian, calling them brothers and sisters.

I am feeling really sorry for where this country is headed under this man's watch!

Ezenwammadu:
President Muhammadu Buhari has declared his total support for a two-state solution to the Israel- Palestine conflict.
The Nigerian President stated this during a meeting on Sunday with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hammad Al-Thani, his spokesperson, Femi Adesina, said.
“I want to assure you that we will stand side by side with you, until our brothers and sisters in Palestine achieve their desired objectives,” he said.
“Our support for various Security Council resolutions restoring and respecting 1967
boundaries with Jerusalem as capital of Palestine is firm and unshaken.”
Mr. Buhari’s stance on the Israeli-Palestine conflict is similar with that of most countries of the world including the European Union, and Qatar is believed to be one of the major backers of Palestine including backing Hamas which governs Gaza. However Israel and the United States have repeatedly blocked any United Nations resolution mandating a two-state solution. The non-resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and lack of progress in resolving it is considered the greatest foreign policy failure of President Barack Obama of the U.S.
At the meeting in Qatar, the Nigerian President also declared as “totally unacceptable,” the huge drop in the price of crude which has seen international oil prices plummet from over $100 a barrel last year to about $30.
Read Mr. Adesina’s full statement below:
President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday in Doha emphasised the need for member states of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, and non-OPEC members to cooperate and find a common ground to stabilise crude oil prices.
Speaking at a bilateral meeting with the Sheikh Tamim Bin Hammad Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, President Buhari described the current market situation in the industry, which has seen oil prices plummet by 70 per cent since mid-2014, as “totally unacceptable.”
“As members of OPEC and Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), our relations in the areas of oil and gas, which our two nations heavily rely on, need to be enhanced and coordinated for the benefit of our people.
“The current market situation in the oil industry is unsustainable and totally unacceptable.
“We must cooperate both within and outside our respective organisations to find a common ground to stabilize the market, which will be beneficial to our nations,’’ the President said on the second day of his state visit to Qatar.
The President used the occasion of his address to the Emir to commend the existing cordial bilateral relations between both countries and invited prospective Qatari investors to take advantage of the abundant opportunities in Nigeria and invest in the key areas of energy, agriculture, real estate development, banking and finance.
He assured prospective investors of government protection of their persons and investment, noting that in the course of his visit, the delegations from Nigeria and Qatar would formalise at least two bilateral agreements to boost economic cooperation between both countries.
President Buhari also weighed-in on the situation in the Middle East, commending the role Qatar is playing in resolving the present Syrian crisis, the Palestinian cause and efforts in reconstructing Gaza.
“The conflicts in Yemen and Syria with their attendant humanitarian crisis need genuine international effort to solve. Nigeria as a peace loving country identifies with the State of Qatar in all her peace efforts in the world to end terrorist activities.
“Nigeria is a victim of terrorism. It is with heavy heart that I stand before you and say activities of Boko Haram have led to loss of many lives and displacement of innocent people in our dear nation.
“We, however, take pride to inform you that since our coming to power, Boko Haram has been systematically decimated and are in no position to cause serious threat to our development programs.
“I wish to reiterate that Nigeria rejects violence and extremism in all their ramifications, and assure your Highness that we are with the State of Qatar in your efforts to fight terrorism and injustice in your region and in the world at large.”
President Buhari also called for a lasting solution to the Israeli – Palestinian conflict , saying “we in Nigeria, like the State of Qatar, favour a ‘Two State’ solution, with the State of Palestine living side by side with the State of Israel.
“I want to assure you that we will stand side by side with you, until our brothers and sisters in Palestine achieve their desired objectives.
“Our support for various Security Council resolutions restoring and respecting 1967 boundaries with Jerusalem as capital of Palestine is firm and unshaken,’’ he said.
Jerusalem being the capital of Palestanian State?
Let him go and check what happened to leaders and countries that pushed for this.
Meanwhile, does anyone understand the implication of a Nigerian President calling Palestanians our brothers and sisters and rooting for a Palestanian State with Jerusalem as the Capital. Time shall tell what Buhari is up to? It is instructive that Nigeria is trying to cosy up with Arab States that's have only contributed one thing to global geopolitics- exportation of Radical Islam around the world. Mark my word, any money coming from Arab world into Nigeria will be for one thing only- promulgation of radical Islam by building mosques, madrasas and Islamic institutions.
Nigerias, brace for what is happening. When a nation has a leader that is at odd with God on Israeli-Palestinian conflict, that nation and they leader will suffer.
The good news is that he will not succeed! God will allow him go so far and then visit him. He is playing with fire. This is not APC and PDP.
