its really sad and pathetic that some pples lives revolves around nairaland filled wit so much hate and bigotry, its really troubling to a sane mind.
why would a sane individual be always excited to find or say sumtn tribalistic, that need and urge to be a sadist tells alot bout a depressing life outside social media.

Picture 16 is a great one!!! Love it.

If our government parastatals, once in a while,do a comprehensive coverage of their activities and showcase it to Nigerian....I believe there will be less bashing and more understanding of the progress being made.

God bless Nigeria and God punish her enemies!!!!

Like the Navy, they give the impression of an organization that has got it's house in order so that there is now no excuse not to provide them with the high tech equipment they need to do their job. I'm well proud, actually.

AM ONE PERSON WHO ISN'T IMPRESSED WITH NAF. WEN COUNTRIES LIKE POLAND, LATVIA R USING SOPHISTICATED MIG 29 FIGHTER JETS 4 COMBAT OPERATIONS. NAF IS STILL USING OUTDATED ALFA JETS 4 COMBAT OPERATIONS AGAINST BH. SO SAD.
Re: The Nigerian Air Force In Focus. PICTURES. by Nobody: 9:32am On Aug 16, 2016
all i see is crappy Alpha Jets and a rusty old c130 military transport aircraft
Re: The Nigerian Air Force In Focus. PICTURES. by Fawklicant: 9:36am On Aug 16, 2016
If this is what NAF has in its armoury, then I''m sorry to say that those are museum grade aircrafts. Yes, yes, yes, they can blow up things to smithereens, but in this 21st century, it'd be like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

well said. All MiG line of aircraft are very effect fighting machines, many U. S fighter jets were downed by the MiG 21 during the viet war. It even downed a U.S boeing 52 stratofortress heavy bomber. I heard Naija has got some MiG 21 but they no the work sha.

Those j17's - if they prove to be like daddy-bring-homers and not widow-makers - should be our new Alpha Jets, while top-notch birds bought over from Russia should play the role of our main strikers.

Nigeria has exploited Alpha jets to such an extent, we should be regarded as the owners. Perhaps we should hand a couple over to Innocence Motors guy, or some relevant native manufacturing firm with the mandate and investment to take them apart, learn and build similar craft as our first indigenous built aircraft.

Nice pics .
May God protect the gallant men of our Armed forces. .On a serious note we need to retire those Alpha jets they don't have air superiority or ground superiority on their side ...and to Imagine that Dasuki and Co squandered over 2.2 billion USD when 400 million dollars could have gotten us a complete squadron of SU 27 Flankers

But who purchased this ones
Who build tho buildings
Who equip the gym and other facilities

Re: The Nigerian Air Force In Focus. PICTURES. by 989900: 9:47am On Aug 16, 2016
$15b plus arms money embezzled could buy us 600 units of JF-17 fighter jets @ $25m each -- now we are buying just 3 of those.

And, if we've been buying 2 or 3 modern FJs since say 2003, we would have roughly 30 of those now.

in most countries A-jets are either rertired or used as pilot trainees. somewhere in Naija, it is still used to bomb militants in Arepo and Sambisa.

u have got a good point though.

Nigerian airforce should procure new jets. I hate seeing this old Alpha jets, we need F-16 Su-27 Su-30, Saab Gripen, Euro fighter typhoon.
