LIVERPOOL MANAGER PRAISE EJARIA
REMARKABLE DEVELOPMENT AFTER
LIVERPOOL DEBUT

Head coach of Liverpool Under-23s Michael Beale
has heaped praises on Liverpool Nigerian teen
star Ovie Ejaria, who made his first team bow in
last night 3-0 win over Derby County in the EFL
Cup.

Ejaria replaced Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino
in the 78 minutes, bringing to 9 the number of
players from Liverpool Academy that have made
their debut for the first team since last season.

Released by Arsenal in 2014 after nine years at
the club, Beale who used to drive the Nigerian to
training when he joined Liverpool newly said it’s a
fantastic development that he has finally made
the grade at Anfield.

Beale told This Is Anfield: “It’s a fantastic
achievement for Ovie to make his debut.”
“Great faith is being shown in all the young
players by Jurgen and his staff. Again they have
shown that if a player has the ability and
personality to play for our first team that
opportunities will come for them.”

Ovie has developed so much since he joined the
academy,” praised Beale.

“He has always been a lovely technical player but
now he is much more mature in his decision
making and in his application to his defensive
duties.

“He is a fantastic boy to work with both for his
ability and also his desire to learn and improve.
This has enabled him to make huge
developments in the last 12 months.”

“I am very pleased for him and his family,” added
Beale.

New Paul Pogba, Ejaria Reacts After
Debuting For Liverpool

Ovie Ejaria was delighted to make his competitive debut for Liverpool in their 3-0 victory over Derby County in the League Cup on Tuesday night, two years after his arrival at Anfield from Arsenal.

Speculations were rife at home and abroad that
the central midfielder was in line to make his first appearance for the Reds when he was not
selected for the U23 team in their clash with
Spurs in the Premier League 2 on Monday.

“good win & competitive debut..⚽️ #Godisthereason, ” tweeted Ovie Ejaria after the
game at iPro Stadium.

Ejaria’s debut tonight was his reward for
impressing Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp
during pre-season training in England and the
United States.

Born in London 18 years ago, he follows in the
footsteps of Sheyi Ojo, Tiago Ilori and Jordon Ibe
( now at Bournemouth) , who have all played
competitively for the first team of Liverpool in
recent seasons.

USA-Born Superkid Omidiji To Reconsider
International Future Over Racist Treatment
Of White Sister By Nigeria Coach

FC Dordrecht superkid Lateef Omidiji Jr is crushed and devastated, and will reconsider his decision to pledge his international future to Nigeria ahead of Netherlands and United
States after his white sister, Sophia, was
unceremoniously dropped by Nigeria U20 coach Peter Dedevbo ahead of the World Cup.

In truth, Dedevbo informed Sophia Omidiji before announcing his provisional roster that he is not planning to take her to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea, citing that she is not as big and strong as the black girls in the team.

But Sophia’s minders argued that she has more
technique and tactical awareness than the
domestic-based players, has a proven track
record of scoring goals, creating assists and
working hard on the pitch for the team.

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Lateef
Omidiji Jr is disgusted that his elder sister came to Nigeria for four months amidst fear of Boko Haram (there were two explosions) 30 minutes from her when she was in camp against advice from everyone, and lost her place with the United States youth team because she declared loyalty to her fatherland.

Omidiji Jr is scared that he might be humiliated
by the Nigerian coaches if he continues flirting
with the Nigeria setup .

To cut a long story short, Sophia has concluded
that she would have gotten better treatment
from Peter Dedevbo if she was dark skinned, big, Ibo and a Christian, but she is white, Yoruba and a proud Muslim.

@bolded said it all about team selection in the 'Nigeria National team.'

It is not about what you have, it's about who you are, where you come from, who you know and where the coach comes from. So sad.

So, na big strong black go put ball inside net ba?

The girl came to camp and she already learn the criteria for selection. You must be my brother. Na my brother.

Lateef, you don't stand a chance of making it to the U17 World Cup as long as...... Chai! grin

Peter Dedevbo is male, mister.... Not "female"

And don't be so quick to judge from just one side of the story.

Sophia is actually smaller than the rest. She's about 5feet 1 or 2inches in height... Now that's TOO SHORT.

But indeed, she's technically gifted and should have been given a chance among the 30.

And uhmm... There's a falconets/flamingoes thread... Why not just continue it there?

It is his choice. That is like telling Mourinho to buy the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Mata over Drogba and Essien.

The Nigerian coach likes physical players and preferred bigger players. That does not mean he is racist or bigoted.

Lateef should make his choice based on what he wants, not based on the decision of one man.

If he does not want to represent us, I wish him the best.

Let's call a spade a spade, the coach is fanatically a racist and bigot for telling her 'she is not as big and strong as the black girls in the team.' now that is a racist comment and a bigot.

If we glance through his list, we will see it as clear as crystal.

Where there other white girls in the camp? The girl is telling you he wanted players strong like the others. She was referring to the Nigerian players who are black. Not a racial comment. She is not strong enough for what the coach wants. That is hi style.

NIGERIAN TEEN THEOPHILUS SOLOMON’S
GOAL VOTED AS GOAL OF THE WEEK IN
CROATIA

The profile of one time Nigeria Under-23 invitee
Theophilus Solomon is soaring high in Croatia with his goal in Istra’s 4-1 win over Inter Zapresic voted among the best goals of the week in the league.

Solomon struck Istra’s 4th goal, which was his
4th of the season with a solo effort, using his
quick feet and pace to leave his markers in their
wake before side footing the ball into the net with the goalkepper going the other way.

His goal was however second in the votes for goal of the week. But watchers of the league have tipped him to be a contender for player of the season and the top scorer award if he stays in the league.

Nicknamed ” Nigerian Ronaldo” when he burst
onto the scene in 2012 as a 16 year old in
Nigeria, It has taken the former Juventus of Italy
target four years to begin to deliver on the
promises he showed that brought about the
interest from the Serie A giants.

He has battled injuries in his previous season but after last season 13 goals haul for second division side NK Sibenik. This season at Istra where he is also on loan from Rijeka, he has grown into one of the most feared forwards in the league.

Moldovan top division side CSF Speranta have

short term deal till the end of the season.

The duo of Benjamin Francis and Akinjide Idowu
are defensive players while Kastan Igwe is a

Idowu was a member of the Nigeria U-17 team
that won the World Youth Championship (Fifa U-17 World Cup) in 2013

He was on the books of MLS side Portland Timbers

Another Nigerian player, Ovye Monday Shedrack

Italy Move Swiftly To Cap Franklyn Akammadu Ahead Of Nigeria
[/size]
Highly rated Cesena Primavera forward Franklyn Akammadu who is of Nigerian descent is set to be handed a call up to the Italian U-20s, a move that should give the Italians an edge in the race for the international future of the former Fiorentina teen hotshot.

In recent times, Nigeria have lost the likes of Stefano Chuka Okaka and Angelo Ogbonna to the Italian national team, a trend that could be extended if Akkamadu maintain or improve on his present career growth.

Owngoalnigeria.com gathered from sources close to the player that even though he still harbours dream of playing for Nigeria, he won’t turn down the chance to represent Italy, if he is called up.

”He won’t say no to Nigeria but at the same time, it will be a thing of joy for him, if he gets invited to the Italian youth set up. For now both nations are an option” a source close to the player told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Akammadu has already have a feel of the first team of Cesena this season after training with the squad before their game against Carpi.

He is viewed by many as one of the brightest prospect in the youth set up of various Italian teams, although he is yet to open his goal account this season in the Primavera.

Dele-Bashiru started along with Will Patching in the center of midfield and did not starve the strikers of service, while England U18 international Ashinme Kigbu was part of a three-man defense.

On 40 minutes, the 17-year-old put City 2-0 up before setting up the third goal scored by Ian Carlo Poveda .

In four appearances for the Citizens U18 squad in the league, Dele-Bashiru has provided six assists in total, including his three helpers in the 7-0 rout of Liverpool in August.

Defenders Nathanael Ogbeta and Edward Elewa-Ikpakwu were not selected for today’s tie against Sunderland.

Watford helped Isaac's Eagles call-up

By: Sammy Wejinya

The Watford manager, Walter Mazzarri, has claimed that joining Watford helped Success Isaac get a call up to the Nigeria national team.

The attacker joined the Premier League club from Spanish club Granada on June 30 for €15million but has yet to be handed a first start by Mazzarri this season.

The former SSC Napoli manager however says he rates his Nigerian charge and has gone on to tip him to achieve important things in the future.

“We (at Watford) are very pleased for him and we think the club helped him to get a call up.

"He is a very young player and if he follows our mentality in this club, then we think he is going to have a very good future for Watford and for his national side,”

Mazzarri was quoted as saying on www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk.

Mazzarri was also asked his thoughts on the African Cup of Nations with two Watford players, Nordin Amrabat and Adlene Guedioura, likely to be involved in the tournament.

Luckily for Mazzarri, Odion Ighalo and Isaac won't be missing any games, with Nigeria failing to qualify.

"Of course it isn't good for us but these are the rules.

“As a manager I would like to keep them here but we can't do anything different so we have to deal with it,” he said.
