The political calculation in Ondo state has taken a new dimension as two governorship aspirants and leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state, Senator Ajayi Boroffice and Dr. Olusegun Abraham have collapsed their political structures within the state for Chief Olusola Oke of the Alliance of Democracy, AD.

According to an investigation by SUNSHINE HERALD, the duo have met with their loyalists and informed them to work for Oke, who dumped the APC for AD last week.

“We are not leaving the party, Dr Olusegun Abraham has spent a lot on APC in this state but we can never work with Akeredolu who paddled the list to win our principal. Oga has told us to work for Olusola Oke,” an aide of Abraham who sought anonymity because he had no permission to discuss the matter with journalists told SUNSHINE HERALD.

He continued: “Don’t be surprised if you see Dr. Abraham campaign offices in some local governments and wards turned to Alliance of Democracy offices, even all our buses will be branded with Olusola Oke soon.”

SUNSHINE HERALD learnt that Abraham, Boroffice and Oke met with the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu after the National Working Committee of the party upheld the primary that declared Rotimi Akeredolu as the candidate of the party.

According to a source at the meeting, Tinubu, based on report at his disposal told Oke to join a new party as supporting Akeredolu will be a gesture that will turn to a big misadventure.

Oke was chosen due to his popularity especially in the southern part of the state where he comes from. Since Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP is from the central and Rotimi Akeredolu of the APC is from the North, the best person to pick remains Oke who will be given a deputy from the northern part of the state.

Another reason that influenced Oke’s choice is his relationship with Rauf Aregbesola, governor of Osun state.

Speaking to this newspaper, a member of the Borroffice Campaign Organization said; “Yes, Borroffice is working for Oke. We can’t work for Abraham, Tinubu has already appealed to him to work for Oke. Assuming Kolawole (Hon. Babatunde Kolawole) is a Muslim, he would have be chosen as deputy to Oke. All our structures have been collapsed for Oke as I talk, even that of Amaechi (Kolawole).

“If you noticed also, all members of our media team are now working for Oke.”

Our sources say part of the plans is for Chief Oke to return to the APC if he wins the election.

Olushola Oke,you're the man. Aketi is on his own.All of us complaint against imposition/endorsement,but we never knew that Abuja people in conjunction with some state party excos had their own unholy plan,it will definitely boomerang.This is not about Tinubu.APC Cabals/Buhari created problem where their was no problem because of 2019 ambition.Aketi also complicated his own problem because of unguided utterances,he took the primary election as if he was contesting against opposition party members,after using derogatory words against them coupled with the process through which he emerged as candidate, he now wants them to work for him.
In 2012,Aketi was a beneficiary of imposition,at that particular period,Dr.Olu Agunloye was the most popular aspirant that contested for ACN ticket ,but in 2016 Aketi heard about the endorsement of Abraham he started abusing Tinubu while majority of the aspirants maintained decorum.
Aketi couldn't have accepted the result of the primary election,if he was not the beneficiary of the fraud called primary election. As for the people calling Oke political despirado ,political party is just a medium for attaining political power.I also believe that Oke knows more about Ondo State than Aketi,2012 Governorship debate is a quick reminder.

The resurrection of AD. The Yorubas are waking up, one wonders why it took a whole Jagaban all of 16yrs to learn a very basic political lesson.
Alas he came soo close, yet farther away from the power he had always hallucinated about.

Yes, it's striking how such things as election manifestos, political philosophies, spending plans, etc. have played no part at all in this election. Unlike in more civilised climes, it's all about where the candidates are from, and who their godfathers are! under the law mr borrffice can not run for election in ondo state. mr boroffice state of origin is not considered to be Ondo state. his state of origin is bayelsa state. those who conducted the election and made him senators did not know the law.

it is like mr tinubu, mr tinubu should not have been governor or major of lagos.. the same with mr saraki because the law state they have to run in their state of origin. now mr saraki can still go back to kano and say he want to run for governor.

And what they were trying to do was move it to akure, that was why they wanted to cancel the title of deji of akure. and they never had anyone in that position, because they wanted to cancel the title of deji of akure.. because the deji of akure is just a duke of a town. because akure has an airport. but the people of akure because they did not go to school. were protesting they want a deji of akure.. so they gave them deji akure, which is just a duke title.

so they have to relocate it to another city in ondo state. there is no need to conduct governorship in ondo state.
