Must you throw up your ethnic idiosyncrasy at every opportunity?
Can you ever appreciate others?
Why are you so filled with hate?
remember if you don't appreciate others you may loose capacity to appreciate even yourself.

The only disciplined and least compromised fighting unit in Nigeria.

The navy has strong ties with the US signed under GEJ to form the equivalent of the US Navy SEAL Team 6.

Unlike the army they aren't known to beat civilians for wearing camo clothes.

So US Navy Seals that fought in Iraq & Afghanistan are stupid.

Currently, The Nigerian Navy Special Boat Squad (SBS) is Nigeria's Tier 1 Special Operations Team.

Pictures OP posted are from Exercise Flintlock in Njadema, Chad....

NN SBS operators are currently deployed to FOB's around the Lake Chad area

I pity ur ignorance....NAVY SEAL. IS SEA ,AIR, AND LAND.. they are all around.....

Thanks for this intelligent answer. But it seems the regular units are the ones majorly involved in the fight against boko haram, one will believe that it is them who should be heavily armed and trained .

Well, special forces operators are not many. It costs millions of dollars 2 train them and maintain them. Their kind aren't used in a convential fight per se,rather they do things like hostage rescue,infiltration/exfiltration,elimination of high value targets eg (BH commanders) etc. As for regular units, not all of dem are tough. There are a lot of reasons why such happen anyway (running away 4rm a fight) one can't start explaining them.

No they are not the same. SEAL's are a small part of the navy (i think at most there just a few hundred/thousand SEAL's), whereas the Marine Corps stands entirely on it's own as a separate force with it's own command chain, organization and everything.

when was the last time you heard this? It happened under GEJ and that was because they were poorly armed.

Does the name "navy" mean the boys should only operate in water? What is expected of a modern elite fighting force is capability to perform at any given notice, under any given conditions. This means they must train for such, in advance.

The US navy SEAL's are the world's most famous special forces unit. They belong to the US Navy, yet they are Sea, Air and Lake specialists. In fact, their most famous mission, taking out Osama Bin Laden, was carried out entirely on land.

Instead of hailing the foresight of our military commanders at a time when the nation is ravaged by conflict on multiple fronts, you are here finding faults. Okay o. You people should continue.
preach bruv lay some erudition on this ignoramus,as elite fighting force they should well verse in all type of warfare air, land water, aboreal sef that is what make them elite..and yeah by the way sef navy outside the country are charged with training special forces ... I bet the white guys there training em are naval officers..

That is because they are ill-equipped and the money for their operations have been looted. The same reason a small boy with a gun will Bleep up an adult that comes to fight him with a knife.
