Abeokuta – The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in Ogun, Mr Clement Oladele has said that Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, will temporarily close a section of the Ibadan/Lagos corridor by Sagamu Interchange to effect repair.

Oladele disclosed this on Thursday in Abeokuta.
He said that Julius Berger Nigeria Plc had informed the FRSC that the reason for the closure was to effect repairs on the section from Nov. 3 to Nov. 12.

“There will be temporary closure by Julius Berger Nigeria (JBN) of a section of the Ibadan/Lagos corridor by Sagamu Interchange from Thursday, Nov. 3 to Saturday Nov. 12 to effect repair,’’ he said.

He urged motorists, especially commercial vehicles operators, to exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules.

Oladele advised motorists to cooperate with the FRSC and other traffic officers who would ensure minimal discomfort of motorists during the period.

“Motorists should exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules; cooperate with the FRSC and other traffic officers who will ensure minimal discomfort of motorists during the period.

“Demarcation with traffic signs have been made on appropriate routes to follow and our men will be on ground to control traffic.

“Motorists are advised to be patient and obey traffic signs and traffic controllers, ‘’ he said.

By the time Lagos Ibadan Expressway construction/repair is over, people will not die due to bad roads but overspeeding.

Kudos to RCC and JBN!!!

Ok, its noted. But the construction companies handling it should ensure they make a long lasting road there. Imagine since the road has been constructed before needing repairs now.

An illustration of how they intend to manage the traffic situation would be nice. At least one would be able to know if it'll be a gridlock or manageable rather than facing a longer route.

And what of Onitsha-Enugu road?. Or, it belong to the 5%. One day the 5% will be the 97%. Suppression has the way it works.

Is it in your blood to bring tribalism and hatred into everything, or you're just doing for Likes/share sake?

The deputy Senate president has being repin one of Enugu Federal constituency since 2003, and he's currently Deputy Senate President of the Nigerian Senate for the third consecutive time. Let assume he's in opposition now and don't really have much influence now. What did he do about it when PDP was in power? At least he was the deputy Senate president for the PDP last eight years in Aso rock Villa.

Let do away with sentiment that's clouding our judgement and share the blame among our leaders.
