People are so stupid, before they cut off her legs did they come up with measures on how they could at least reduce her blood loss? What would have made sense is if they had found a bandage or clean cloth and used it to tie her legs just above her ankles in order to reduce blood flow before they took such a drastic measure. Poor soul, RIP

It would have been better they left her there, keep her company, speak reassuring words to her, put some clothes around her to keep her warm and call emergency services around the toll gate area in alausa to come.
Those ones may come, at least put some drip going into her, I know they don't have blood transfusion services in their ambulance, and wait for the container to be removed.
They killed her because she bled faster to death when they purposely butchered her.

Basic life support would have saved this young lady's life...stop the bleed by applying a tourniquet. Why chop her leg off with a cutlass when the container only fell on her leg. Stopping the bleed is paramount!

Pictured is the lady identified as Monica Onokah who was involved in a fatal accident which happened yesterday at Mile 2 bus stop by Festac town in Lagos. A container truck fell on the said lady and crushed her legs in the process as she was about boarding a bike on the road. According to reports, the bike man managed to escape but the lady tripped while trying to run, and the container fell on her legs.

People came to her rescue and when they couldn't figure out how to take the very heavy container off her, they decided to cut off her legs with a cutlass. The lady died as she was being rushed to the hospital.

You know, in all the time I've been on NL, I've seen crazy posts, but I've never being so angered right now .

Let this be a warning to every pedestrian, drivers and passengers that are always passing Mile-2, Kirikiri, Apapa and all the routes in Lagos frequented by trailers with containers.
If you're a driver, avoid driving beside a trailer because you don't know when it's going to fall - never trust the hooks!
If you're a passenger and you find out that the driver is dragging road with a container in traffic, jump down immediately.
If you're a pedestrian, don't walk too closely to containers. Also beware of those on the bridge as they can fall from there and crush anything beneath them to pieces.

How many times has the government banned the trucks travelling during the day. But we don't have a system that will enforce it, rather the LASTMA will be the one creating more problems for the motorist.
