These people should be highly motivated, they are staking a lot to make the society function well. God bless them

Bruv. Here's the thing...soldier psychology ain't to be toyed with.

Feeding a soldier well 3times a day is a security risk.

Why?

Imagine their unit gets attacked and overwhelmed or their company on patrol ambushed?

How will that soldier survive 2-3 days in the jungle and perform optimally at same time?

Oya pay them 500k per month and another wahala comes cos big man no fit collect bullet willingly

Even the US reviewed their policy regarding tours, cos soldiers lost morale once they knew their Evac date was close (dem no ready die again)

Many things are involved sha when at the war front.

But we need to do more for them on the homefront, they need to know their families are being taken good care of.

Generally, I used to appreciate these men, till I took time to reflect on how they treat civilians with obvious contempt. I don't know how I can respect someone who doesn't respect me.

And to the real soldiers who have respect for all of humanity, I love you.

While this is supposed to make sense, the soldier just ended it with a childish comment.

What childish comment? Its obvious the top men are enjoying while they suffer in the battle field, with no care of benefit

Below is what a Nigerian soldier Chibuzor Ever wrote......

'STORY OF A SOLDIER

It is not easy been a soldier!
We have cloth in our wardrobes but the nature of the job leaves no chance to wear them!
Patrol and escort both in the summer and winter
dressing combatantly everyday like an astonaut
while others are asleep we are awake.
While you drink table water and beverages in your homes, we manage water in the jungle
we do this just to suppress terrorism!
You lay on beds at night while we lay on tents and trench.
While you think of how to embazzle funds we think of how to attack external forces!
It is a work to God and humanity.
You fucking scream when you are cut by blade we endure when we are hit by a bullet!
When a soldier die, they dont take it as anything.
To them it is a normal thing!
But when their wives have miscarriage the whole earth will hear their cry!
May be you dont know we are also born from a woman.

Ohh Lord! I pray that every person, people, community, organization or parastatal that whishes me and my fellow soldiers awful death.dry thunder from heaven should strike them down.

Your comment here is as useless as your username. When Buhari traveled to Germany, didn't you see him visit some of your amputated soldiers in the hospital there, get sense Mr.

Not lack of job, different people different interest. If we all stay indoor who will protect d country. Most guys we have in my area here r useless all they do is call up themselves on d phone n start fighting bottles n cutlasses. A group of almost 100 claiming cultist how is that developing d country. Now we don't sleep at night we need to be vigilant till day break or else they will break d burglary n visit u with cutlass here r human like u sacrificing themselves to promote the country. Soldiers r doing great.

Isn't it weird how in the first world, soldiers are heroes and treated with respect by the citizenry? Why isn't this so in Africa? It's simple really. Respect is reciprocal. If soldiers treat civilians the way they should, people would have their backs more. But no. Here you see soldiers beating and maiming people. Part of the evidence that we are still a long way off.

For saying this, don't ever complain about bad leadership.
Yes they joined the army voluntarily but your government also promised to take care of them.

I have no respect for the Nigerian military. They are all bullies and unprofessional. The Nigerian military is the most corrupt institution in the country. They have no love for each other. The senior officers see the junior officers as tools to be used and dumped. They don't care about their well being and safety. The junior officers see we the civilians as animals that need to be bullied all the time. I have no respect for them and.personally do not care if thy live or die. They have killed, buried and maimed more people than criminals.
