The problem we have is that we been so used to bad governance, so when someone gives us crumbs it look as though they have done something extraordinary. Isn't the Hon. Collecting constituency allowance and running cost? So why are you praising him as if he is doing anybody a favour with is father's money? SMH
my dear, it is our money..and good news is worth publicizing.

if every single house of assembly member does this and forget about padding there will be great decrease in number of road accidents
Re: Solomon Adaelu Gives Road Construction Machines To His Constituency In Abia. Pic by Kayodemichael(m): 2:28pm On Jan 11
Very good write up but as for David Mark's military pension that's his sweat. There is nothing anybody can do about that. The national assembly is heightened of corruption in this country. Forget about any other places or offices. If and only if national assembly will just WORK every other things will fall in place

Its commendable, if only all of them will be like him, after all, its out of our embezzled money. Can someone tell me how much these machines cost? And how many he bought?
And what he earns monthly?

let him do more with the allocations, and am sure the ppl will both privately n publicly appreciate him, rather than eat away the constituency allocation like others.

most of it is caused by poverty wc also has its root in poor governance, our youth only what who will give them peanut atleast to sort out their stomach while for others it's greediness and they overlook the weightier matters at hand.

I am his constituent from Obingwa. This is a very big lie. Okpokpo ashi. All these media propaganda and lies will get you guys no where. Before labelling me afo.nja or anything else, I voted him into power.
Please list the graded roads in Obingwa so far. Meanwhile, tell him to deploy the 'machines' to Aba-Ikot ekpene road and all the arterial roads around the area they are needed there. Ndi ara@

you are getting it all wrong. When was these machines released? When last did u visit osisioma? Brother, blv me..if this work is a mere propaganda.. Watch out for my critism. It's a gradual process.I blv since these machines are in place. It ll even be easier and cost efficient for the state government to work on more of the roads

When lawmakers collect constituency project fund, it is not for them to keep. This is one of the things the fund is meant for. But quick question, whom exactly did he donate the equipment? The contractor working on the road or to the people, to fix the road themselves?

I live at Osisioma and work in Obingwa, Some part of Isiala ngwa and Aba urban areas. I hate propaganda. I cannot tolerate lies on roads in Aba. That's the only reason ngwa youths fought for Okezie Ikpeazu and his team! That's the only legacy they can bequeath us. Nothing short of aggressive road rehabilitation is acceptable. It has already started drizzling around Osisioma area as witnessed today. They have limited time to work.

The attached pix is Aba-Ikot Ekpene road. Those machines you saw there disappeared the day after Abaribe and his so called senate committee on work visited the site. The aim is to create the impression of 'work-in-progress' before the visitors. Go there now, they are using ordinary digger to excavate the ground for drainage on a federal road! Who is deceiving who? I nearly went to prison fighting the Otu onu course when I mobilised youths to attack PDP( Orji Kalu) guys rigging election in a hotel where I used to hang out then. So you should understand where I am coming from.

and how many places do u think those machines could be at a time. That was why I asked if u did visit osisioma today. If you did, you ll agree with me that where those machines are now needs urgent attention. However, I believe these machines are not going underground , it ll be used for the sole purpose of grading those roads. But do not forget..state government has its role to play. And if u ll agree with me, u know how things are being done when it comes to road rehabilitation (I blv u know d angle I'm driving at). As for the otu onu course, though I was younger then, I blv it was a fight which every Ngwa sons and daughters fought.

Lowest level of thoughts candidly....are they meant to be grading their roads year in year out? Or have it tarred and always maintained?

The job of a Representative ideally is to always call the attention of the Executive arm of government to the plights and needs of the people being given representation, but here in our country, this is twisted.

Will the equipment be maintained? No is the no brainer

Finally, the machines have been handed over to the constituency.
Please lets get this to front page. It's worth commending..
Lalasticlala , Ishilove

He rented the heavy equipment, not buy it. As you can see, its a used equipment. These are not equipments you can just buy off the parking lot of a dealership, they require special licensing and insurance plus maintenance service contract. This is hogwash. SE people have not had history of inspecting and supervising their political leaders, hence every politician come to them with bs and get away doing to them things that won't pass if it were done in Yorubaland.
