Peter Obi is an intelligent politician, you rarely see people like him. I have no other words to ascertain to this words of wisdom. Nigerians indifferent of our political ideas or party let's give this young man a chance to lead this country come 2019.. for I have seen a man who is eager, to deliver his beloved country and redeem us for live. Let's give Peter Obi chance to rule nigeria. Hausa, Igbo, yoruba give this igbo a chance to handle nigeria now, cus in the next 20, 30 years all of us will still be here called Nigeria. I rest my case

Why don't we get a mechanic to change the engine and also get a better driver that will know how to drive the car properly
Re: Peter Obi - Nigeria Is A Knocked Vehicle, No Point Changing The Driver by olubanki: 2:18pm On Jan 25, 2017
Truly Nigeria is like a knocked vehicle. You may decide to change the engine or get a new car and u may also consider changing your driver as well.
You might consider changing your driver if;
*He embarks on a trip without knowing the condition of the vehicle.
*He knows the condition of the vehicle and still embark on the trip.
*He knocks the engine because he doesn't know how to carry out routine checks on a vehicle.
*You realize He's a learner.

The simple solution to our dear country problem is "Doing the right thing". Whatever its right, do it! Whatever is morally wrong, dont do it! If we all imbibe this culture, gradually the country will find her footings.

Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra state says Nigeria is a knocked Vehicle and the attention should be on fixing the engine, not changing the drivers of the economy.

I laughed when I heard the proposed mass-march on 5 Feb. For what purpose and mission?

We all know Nigeria's problem is not governance endemic, we as a people holds the key to the desired change in Nigeria.

If we are not ready to change our habit and endure the short discomfort. Do things differently.
Changing party, changing government will still see us moving in a circle.

God bless you Peter Obi. Even though President Buhari has his fault, much of our problem is institutional problem. Poor system.

Chukwumeremeze:

I applaud Obi's analysis on using "a Knocked Vehicle" to describe Nigeria's current socio-economic condition.

But....

- A knocked engine would certainly require a sound knowledgeable driver to realize the car's actually grounded in the first place.

- In this case the driver seem to have minute or no knowledge about the architecture of a car, not to talk of the complexities of it's engine.

- Moreover, effectively Fixing a knocked engine would still be dependent or re-routed on the intuition, shrewdness and action of the Leader.

- Chinua Achebe was indeed right when he noted the main problem of Nigeria and many third world countries in his short epic prose "The trouble with Nigeria" as LEADERSHIP

- I rest my case.

Oh please.
You also don't want to hand over the vehicle to the kind of foolish driver who did not gauge the engine oil in the first place. The engine oil was showing the RED light but that driver (a drink) was still driving on at high speed. We don't need that kind of driver and his party

We need to repair the vehicle and change the driver .. How could he be so careless in maintaining the vehicle He will surely ruin the new vehicle too... cheesy

What of the past drivers who drove it for 16 good years? Provided those people had maintained the vehicle the new driver wont have problem with the vehicle

Okay na...so we have a knocked engine (Economy). Then the driver of the vehicle (Presido) who is responsible for getting the people to fix the engine gets a carpenter( Amaechi), a basket case( Dalung), 2 grass cutters (Ogbeh and Babachir), a talkative ( Fashola), a wannabe cockney speaking lady who cannot add 16 +6 plus to fix the engine.... issokay. We need a new driver with sense
Re: Peter Obi - Nigeria Is A Knocked Vehicle, No Point Changing The Driver by unclejb2(m): 3:25pm On Jan 25, 2017
If you are traveling in a public vehicle and it knocks engine, the only logical and reasonable thing to do is to disembark and continue your journey in another vehicle. Nigeria is like a public transport vehicle whose engine is knocked along the way, that's why we have disembarked and have entered the Biafra movement vehicle to reach our destination safely.

But the new driver is in London Hospital, he was the driver in 1984 and he drove the vehicle into economic recession. Now, we gave him another opportunity to drive the vehicle and he is making the same mistake.

May be because of its corruption. Corruption has finished Nigeria and there is no solution. Injustice everywhere,

Peter obi it takes a good driver to know the car engine has knocked and change the engine.in this case we don't have a driver only a cluesless passenger who wants to drive a car with knocked engine undecided
