Presumably anyone in the Presidential seat who is not a lawyer would benefit from the services of aides with legal training who would review the bills and give advice.

It is, you know, their job.

Speaking on the refusal of the acting president to sign the bills into law, Dino Melaye, a senator from Kogi west, said the executive must respect the principle of separation of powers.

He said it was the responsibility of the executive to assent to bills made by the legislature or go to court to challenge them.

Someone should please tell Dino that the executive is not under compulsion to assent to every bill passed into law by the National assembly. The president can in fact veto any bill that doesn't represent his agenda or is not in the best interest of the country.
