They want to bcome president when they dont have any alliance with any other region. On which party are they going to do that? When Ojukwu contested why didnt they support him to win? Igbo want presidency yet they dont want to sacrifice rather they want biafra. If they are the majority ethinic group indeed, they should use it to contest for the presidency and win now, rather than bragging up and down. Unserious, selfish set of chest beaters. 8 Likes |

Political miscalculations is the reason why the presidency hasnt reached the SE. A clear case was the almost 100% support the SE gave GEJ in 2011 thereby destroying the PDP zoning formula which would have definitely produced an Igbo president in 2015 or 2019. If Yaradua didnt die, PDP would have definitely zoned the presidency in 2015 to the SE; if GEJ didnt contest in 2011, the PDP would have also definitely zoned the presidency to the SE in 2015 or 2019 (assuming whoever was the northern candidate stubbornly de ided to complete 2 terms). I remember the former PDP chairman Vincent Ogbulafor lamenting the decision of GEJ in 2010 to contest and distort this zoning formula. But at the time, he was shouted down by fellow SEasterners and GEJ summarily booted him out of the chairmanship position for daring to oppose him. Ken Nnamani was also ridiculed for not supporting GEJ's election bud in 2011. We all know the result today, Igbo presidency has become a strong mirage and beholding the reality, everyone now seems to embrace IPOb as the only fall back solution. 9 Likes 3 Shares |

There are many Igbos that are more qualified to be President of Nigeria. But this cannot be achieved through hatred and " one -eyes" politics. 3 Likes |

Recall that the SE and Ekwueme was shoned by PDP in 1999 and 2003 for SW who produced Nigerian head of state in OBJ as near as 1978, and even in 2007 when the Presidency was zoned to the North, if PDP had plans of puting forward an Igbo candidate after Yaradua, why was GEJ and not an Igbo man( even if from SS, remember that Peter Odili was in contention) chosen by PDP to be the VP of Yaradua, to take over from Yaradua after 8years? Truth is that PDP and Nigerians are not ready for an Igbo president, and would always give reasons to justify their stance. 5 Likes |

Better change your mindset & mingle with other tribes like Ngige,Onu & Rochas are doing & you are calling them names. They have seen what majority have not seen & i really thank God for vindicating their faith in the unity of Nigeria. When you people are ready to synch with them, then you can become president of Nigeria as you so desire. 1 Like |

... Power belongs to God and HE gives it freely to whomever He wishes. There is nothing anybody can do about it. From inception till date, presidency has not solve anything for the region or tribe were it comes from. Each region should focus more on human capacity development, investment-friendly policies, mechanized agriculture and entrepreneurial ingenuity. This is what rules today's 21st century! 2 Likes |

allrightsir: Unless you're talking about "imagined antagonistic behaviour" then I have no idea what you're talking about. The calls for independence post-civil war have only recently been taken up by the masses in Igboland. Up until then, it was mainly dominated by fringe groups who held sway over only a small minority of Igbos. So, pray tell, what exactly is this antagonistic behaviour that the Igbos have shown towards other Nigerians post-civil war? Or is simply existing and flourishing in another man's land akin to being "antagonistic" towards the host population? 2 Likes |

A clear case was the almost 100% support the SE gave GEJ in 2011 thereby destroying the PDP zoning formula which would have definitely produced an Igbo president in 2015 or 2019. Well, hindsight is 20/20 they say. As of then, supporting GEJ who many Igbos considered a brother looked more logical than voting for a Northern candidate. Moreover, you forgot that SE is just a block of PDP, with limited delegates. SE delegates alone couldn't have been enough to guarantee GEJ PDP nomination, GEJ won PDP nomination because the majority of delegates from the other 5 geopolitical zones also voted for him. So, it's erroneous for you or anyone to say that SE destroyed PDP zoning formula. PDP delegates from all the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria unanimously destroyed the PDP zoning formula when GEJ won the PDP presidential ticket in 2011. Though like I had come to notice, it's always normal for Nigerians to look for means to demonize Ndiigbo, every bad thing in Nigeria, they must find a way to tie it around the neck of Ndiigbo, for this is the only reason why you would go about saying that Ndiigbo destroyed PDP zoning formula in 2011, even when historical analysis will prove this to be wrong. 3 Likes |

When a SE was on seat in Aso Rock, we no dey hear "Biafra" song. And when SE lost the sear in a fair election, they start campaigning for Biafra. You guys are a joke. You don't just select what favours you and say you quit when it favours someone else. The reality the Igbos should contront themselves with is the hyper-strong possibility that there will the presidency is not coming to them anytime soon (after all, a SE man just left the office, na only you dey there ni?). You should also swallow the fact that there will be no Biafra. Biafra can only exist following a referendum and right now no one is that jobless and unserious to spend time, money and effort on some referendum that is designed to cater to some dudes selfishness: The Biafra cry is from a few Igbos who find it difficult to adapt in a rapidly changing Nigerian econonmic environment. So they want to have a corner all to themselves where there will be no competitions. The very successful Igbo men and women gain too much from one Nigeria than to support some childish rant about Biafra. The second way to realize Biafra is to go to war. And I believe a lot of lessons were learnt from the last attempt. There is simply no winning such war, since the would-be Biafra is already deeply divided. No one wants war, except the few whoremongers that profit deeply from such foolish endeavours. So, we will keep the status quo and learn to live together as one. Buhari will get better and return to the country to support the work that Osinbajo is doing. And Kanu will reign on as the Onikuje of Kuje, Obi Kwanu I of Kuje kingdom. 2 Likes |

Newmanluckyman: I honestly don't care about an Igbo presidency in Nigeria as very little would change for us. This country is rotten from the core and no amount of Igbo presidents will change that. All we need to do is continue to develop our regions as independence is inevitable; I honestly don't see Nigeria, as it is, lasting for more than 20 years. 3 Likes |

We igbos are blessed by God, actually the best blessed by God, anyone who disputes that is just another hater. But we have our weaknesses, which is not having one mind. The issue of biafra in understandably a result of accumulated fury over the fact that we are not regarded even though we are like the oil that keeps the vehicle of Nigeria going. Without us, a lot will be messed up. True talk. But I am sorry to say the issue of presidency for an ibo is going to remain a myth because Nigeria as a country knows our value and if they let one enter there is likely going to be the birth of Biafra. Apart from that i personally think its going to be a disaster because, letting in an ibo man into a presidential position which he has been clamoring for is like letting lose a hungry lion for the first time in years, it will devour anything he sees. The little chance we had to make our voices heard and becoming president was during GEJ's administration but he blew it and wasted all the opportunities. So Ndigbos please lets leave all this noise making and avoid a war, make una watch CNN and see wetin dey happen for syria. God has favoured us above other tribes, believe that |

We all know the result today, Igbo presidency has become a strong mirage and beholding the reality, everyone now seems to embrace IPOb as the only fall back solution. No. It's delusional for you to link Igbo demand for independence from the colonial entity since 1966 to a little inconsequential thing as "Igbo presidency". History records that since the day of OBJ, ie 1999, Biafran groups like MASSOB had been strong and demand for Biafra had been massive in the SE. Uwazuruike in those days once shut down commercial activities in most Nigerian markets when he gave a sit at home order to Igbo people. Prompting OBJ to label him a national threat, arrested and detained him. Before he was released and like we later found out, became compromised too. All these happened before the emergence of Yaradua and GEJ in national politics. So how can a well breastfed human being link demand for self determination by Biafrans with GEJ ouster or demand for Igbo presidency? Can you see the irrationality of your thought process? 3 Likes |

Why are the Igbos so arrogant?? why do they like to brag like this?? if indeed they are the largest ethic group like they claim, why don't they vote for their people from their region during election ?? The hypocrisy of these Biafrans is amazing...They aren't even united among themselves and they think they can achieve independence. SMH.. 2 Likes |
