Tribalism and northern born to rule keep dragging Nigeria backward, you just have to wonder the kinds of elements that I share country with.

Democracy returned to nigeria in 1999! Since then OBASANJO (1999-2007) YARADUA (2007-2010) and GOODLUCK (2010-2015) have been nigerian presidents so where does this your senseless "northern born to rule" analogy come from? So obasanjo and goodluck were also fulani men?

You are speaking of tribalism keeping nigeria backward but wondering why you are sharing the country with others! What does that make you? A progressive? Are you igbos not known as one of the most tribalistic people on earth? Even though not all so what is your point? Sister just go back to the romance section and stop chatting garbage! Your own ethnic jingoism is still in its infancy!

Partially agree with you

Having said that, one case can be used to sentence him

To jail

No one can win a constituted authority

Anything we are doing, we should try and do it the right way. .we should not set precedence for bad things.. We can't correct a bad thing with a bad thing

And if the court decides the man is innocent Afterall they should free him and blame the prosecution counsel for not doing their work

you started quoting from 1999, what abt before then?
Abacha,IBB,Abdusallami, Gowon,Shagari etc, northern men who emptied Nigeria treasury and Shared Niger Delta Oil blocks among themselves.
The Nigeria money Abacha stole, Nigeria is still recovering it Yet he is a celebrated figure in the North.
Is that not hypocrisy.
Northern Nigeria is the primary reason why Nigeria is stagnant and backward.
Politics is a free and open platform, it has no gender.

We are in a democracy! Military juntas and administration's had no set of rules by which they were played so to compare the dynamics of coup plotting and murderous decrees with those of a semi functional democracy which we have had since 1999 is more like an attempt at comedy!

The military hausa fulani men who rose to power in those regimes were supported by both igbo, yoruba and other tribes generals who only cared about their pockets and promotions and not about your welfare so what does that make them? Born to rule from the back? Rather than foster their own ambitions they decided to let some ibrahims and abubakars have their way as long as it got them into the afrc and made them rich!

Now you are saying the hausas emptied the treasury, did they do it alone? Is GENERAL IKE NWACHUKWU a poor igbo man? Is GENERAL OLADIPO DIYA a poor yoruba man? Was it hausa people that also emptied the treasury under goodluck and obasanjos govts? So there are no government thieves from igbo land? Or benue? Or taraba? Or delta? Or akwa ibom? Or plateau? Or ogun? Or Osun? All the oil blocks belong to only fulanis?

And yes politics has no gender but try to wake up lest you be seen to be asleep in public! Do away with your clannish mentality! Nigerias issues run deeper than what you hear from the mouths of your towns people!

You are right he's very popular among criminals

Also popular in Kuje prison
Last time I checked, that Prison is a medium security prison. Criminals don't go there.

I don't think anyone has stopped Pat Utomi from contesting for presidency. I'm ready to vote for him. You can only wish he becomes president but wishes don't make people become president. Pat Utomi should join a political party, vie for presidency and campaign. It is left for people to decide. It is as simple as that.

Kanu was initially ignored when he started, Buhari came and arrested him, they said nobody will leave his business and protest because of him, but what did we see, the whole cities emptied into the streets. They resorted to killings, they said the protesters are jobless miscreants, they said the upper class will never identify with the struggle, but what do we see now? Renowned economists, former governors and other leaders of thought now identify with the struggle, what is their next line now??

The sole purpose of this page is to mobilize Nigerian youths from all works of life to form one formidable political party that will take away powers from the old-styled and corrupt Leaders, who has ruled our beloved country since independence.
This is a wake up call from NYLR to Nigerian youths irrespective of your tribe, religion, education back ground, job, location etc, let us rise in one voice, one goal and take our rightful place.
These old Leaders are closer enough to their graves that is why they don't care what tomorrow holds for our beloveth Nigeria.

We must not fight illegality with illegality.

IMO, i think the prosecutor has not done their homework very well, you charged someone to court without providing enough evidence to convict him and you want the judge to rely on sentiments of the president to deliver judgement... No way...Six charges were struck out. It's either Nnamdi Kanu is innocent or the prosecution counsel is not doing his work very well ..

No matter what, Rule of law is important.. It might be anybody's turn tommorow

Kanu tried his best... To be smart, brainwashing the igbo populace with his radio service by toying with their emotions. Calling for the youths to rise up in violence and take biafra by force. But he forgot that while its easy to prey on people though their emotions, The world has no place for extremists and fundamentalists. The memories of hitler and his likes are still fresh in peoples minds. There is still hope for him though, mandela started this way too before the long, cold solitary nights made him realise the world doesnt tolerate acts of intimidation. Now pat utomi (and surely the rest of his entourage) who himself stated boldly he doesnt belive in biafra went to see Kanu to shore up his political clout in the east. To the supporters of Kanu, that is what he has become, a circus show, just like going to the zoo to see a monkey eat a banana.other igbo leaders will use him to achieve their aims now that he has already done the dirty job. The world likes men of peace.

its the simple truth whether you like it or not. Kanu knew to move the youths he had to preach a strong message it was a good plan, but the problem was that the youths rarely and shouldnt decide the path of any nation. That is a recipe for disaster. How many igbo elders have you seen identifying with ipob?
