Nwachineke1980: You see yourself? Tinubu is not even an ordinary Chancellor how can he be anybody's stooge?. Tinubu is just the man with a deadly political chess board. Tinubu just love playing politics which will help him actualize his vision for his people in Nigeria. Let me come down to your level of understanding, get yourself a copy of Jong de Jeon, a Korean historical season film. It is about a man, an ordinary clerk in the palace, who gathered like minds, and manipulate them to ensure a dynastic revolution in his country. He single handedly demolished the ruling dynasty and replace it with a man of his choice and position himself as Joseon's first prime minister. Can you spot the similarities?, politics is not for unintelligent people. Most things that happened and come out as a big shocks, are what the initiators had planned over a period of 10- 20 years. That's why I believes that Okorocha still remains the smartest politician of the South East. The powers that preferred Obj over Ekwueme, are still the same power that preferred Good luck over Ken Nnamani. That power would still have smuggled Good luck in for the second term, if it hasn't run into Tinubu and his crew. Since Obj is not a stooge, show me just one Obasanjo's achievement in SW. Tinubu that is supposedly a stooge to your likes, his blue prints are all over SW. |

7lives: Korea is not the same as Nigeria. It's one country, same language and similar aspirations. No doubt Tinubu is a maverick. I give it to him that he sure understands talent. He has built a massive loyalty around himself. That he has accommodated Fashola, projected the VP without any concern they will outshine him is a plus to his style. However his success at the national stage will not stand the test of time. It is built on SW / North alliance; thrives on common fear and hatred for the Igbo. Tinubus dexterity and skill relies on this political setting at the national stage. It will collapse because the politics of excluding the Igbo is only living on borrowed times. The expectation of most of you is that the Igbo will one day kneel and beg for mercy. I see an exerted effort to challenge the Igbo way of life as the problem with his condition in Nigeria. Quite a pity that many are falling for this trick. The Igbo will remain Igbo and will never change to appease the Yoruba and Hausa. You accept us the way we are or let the Igbo have their own country. It is either Nigeria make a political arrangement that will put an Igbo in ASO rock the way they did same for OBJ and Jonathan; the manner it happened for Buhari or else get prepared for full restructuring. |

Others who have produced the president of Nigeria should first tell us what they gained out of it so that we Igbos can know why we should strive for that useless position that has done nothing but increase the suffering of Nigerians. 1 Like |

jomonic: would you believe if I tell you that Igbos are the one playing themselves out of position in Nigerian politics?. Igbos are part of first and second republics, they are part and parcel of PDP's 16 years of government, where exactly were they kept out of the government?. Eye don open for Nigeria bad politicking will not help any tribe. Google is your friend, check what happened at PDP's 1999 convention and tell me how Obj became PDP flag bearer. The combination of SE, SS and some elements in the MB are enough to force OBJ and his sponsors into a second round of balloting but, those who were supposed to defend the interest of SE collected dollars and Alex Ekwueme was embarrassed at the first round of balloting. Did you know how many times the Senate presidency exchanged hands among the same group of people? Just as your people cannot beg anybody to give you the presidency of Nigeria, your people cannot force other Nigerians to chose an Igbo president. The citizens of this country have right to choose who they want to lead them, there are over 20 political parties in Nigeria, so who exactly is stopping you people?. You people had better start building bridges and stop nagging, anyway Biafra is also an option. 1 Like |

7lives: Many thanks for the advice. However in the past decades the Igbo have had to overcome so many obstacles on their path, placed by the same people who are today offering advice on how to get to Aso Rock without tears. I doubt the sincerity of these gestures because they are offering stones as bread. What we want now is re-structure Nigeria or the Igbo opt out option. We don't want a lame duck president just to satisfy the notion of Igbo president and waste another 8 years. I want an Igbo president that can challenge the status quo, make changes, redress the many wrongs. Nigeria is just not ready for that. Let a Yoruba replace Buhari but let us restructure Nigeria and have more independence at the state level. Decentralize the central government. If this does not work; lets separate. 1 Like |

Joavid(f): 9:06am On Mar 26 Born to rule mentality is ur problem. Tell us about the infant mortality rate, human development index of the north and Nigeria at large. U come across as very shallow. Yoruba's are diplomats and they know how to manuover their away around things. Really, more like plunge the country into crisis whilst in pursuit of their selfish interest, with little or nothing to show at the end. Greed begets more Greed, the cycle is endless. They are so diplomatic but produced only one President,(OBJ) that was basically installed by the north after they murdered Abiola? Let me suggest stay in the romance section. The Igbos just keeps playing the victim card, and they expect that to get them to presidency?I am Igbo, for ur info, wat we are currently in pursuit of is Biafra. Nigeria is an experiment of the 1960s that have failed, we admit that and moving on. but guess what, No one wants to be associated with a victim, no one will give power to a victim, no one can trust a victim - it's a phycological proven fact! How about they just leave? The thought of that brings even the most ardent tribalist to their knees. The abuser all of a sudden realise they have no power wen the victim leaves, until dem they are under the false delusion dat they are in control. That is wat is going on in Nigeria today, sparked by Nnamdi Kanu, there is an conceited effort to hold Nigeria together. In the short term attainable but in the long run, Nigeria will certainly fall aprt. https://www.nairaland.com/3779012/nigeria-wont-survive-another-civil Remember it took one man to start the Arab Spring. All my life, I hear Igbo people say they're been hated, I did not understand because I don't hate anyone and I don't see people around me hating anyone because he/she is Igbo.Really? This is just the worst form of misrepresentation that i have ever heard. Nigeria is awash with bigotry and tribalism. It is on the same level as racism u find in America. Ijaw v Itsekiri v Urhobo, then Igbo v yoruba v hausa/fulani, i can go on.(i wont point to street fighting) Promotion at work are based on tribe. I know a person that saw his junior promoted above him. If u have worked in ur life, u would know this, becos we see it at play all the time. The hatred is very real.It is entrenched into the fabric of society. I did history in secondary school and we were never taught the Nigerian civil war - I later understood that Gowon had it omitted from the syllabus just to prevent this hate thing Igbo's are talking about. No, it is to hide many of the atrocities committed on a people who fought a war of self defence from attacks that started in the north and south west. In Lagos, they will ask u to pronounce a yoruba word caled 'toro', if u had an accent, they burn u. Thousands of igbo were murdered like this in lagos.. The way Igbo's indoctrinate their kids -planting the seed of enemity in their hearts its not fair.Everything i know, i learnt for myself.(this is the information age, that which Gowon sought to hide, is now in the open, go to youtube and watch if reading is a problem 4 u, stop watching Illuminati stuff, even they are having trouble hiding their secret) My father never talked about Biafra War but he witnessed it. Perhaps too traumatic for him. The older generation are very different from us, they are gentle. My mum was the action and discipline, papa never ht or shout at us. Igbo parents dont indoctrinate their kids, dey dont even speak the language to them, it is English most times. Yoruba parents do. Are u yoruba? 2 Likes |
