The 2017 budget will not be ready until after the Easter celebrations, the House of Representatives has said.

The Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Abdulrasak Namdaz, disclosed this while briefing journalists on the weekly activities of the Green Chamber on Thursday.

He said there is no way the 2017 budget will be ready before the resumption of members from the three- week Easter break.

The Easter break will commence on April 11.

Namdaz said: “Hopefully, we will pass this budget when we come back from the Easter break.

“Even the federal government is taking advantage of the non-passage of the 2017 budget.

“You were in the plenary today (Thursday) when the Minister of Budget and National Planning said if they’re able to reconcile some figures, they are likely to approach us (for inclusion in the budget).

Hahaha!
After Easter does not guarantee a deadline.

June is after Easter and August 2017 is equally after Easter.

Nigerians need to campaign for the unbundling of NAss.

I don't understand this people with all this breaks, not like they're working round the clock everyday. Yet they get unnecessary vacations and still get paid more than those who work their ass off all year long sad

This goes to show how unserious we are as a nation.
Already developed countries are still moving faster than Nigeria wey no get basic amenities like electricity, water, health care, transport, etc. By the time they achieve 'life possibility in Mars' and start scrambling for land there, we go just dey celebrate 10hrs of uninterrupted electricity.
No wonder our passport is still worthless for travel purposes cos they just believe every Nigerian wants to escape to a better country where things work well.
*smh*
