Aufbauh:Your comment does not suggest that you are a literate. Not everyone who can press buttons and speak/write is a literate, mind you. Let's assume those governors actually misappropriated funds (which is typical of Nigerian politicians including the APC), do they have to be detained indefinitely against their fundamental human right and the Nigerian law? Do you fight illegality with illegality? Why not prosecute them and let them go on bail, pending the time the court gives its verdict? There is separation of powers in a democracy. The executive can NEVER take the place of the judiciary or legislature. You may kindly relay the message to that mistake and disaster of a president. 4 Likes |

orisa37: pls allow it to water down. Of what use is the democracy other than being an avenue to embezzle public funds. Forget the judiciary, they are fantastically corrupt. I'm not so much of a fan of Buhari but I respect his courage to support the arrest of all these so called elite criminals... They should keep on detaining them..... 1 Like |

Baawaa:Don't laugh at this level of impunity. I'm not a party member. But think about it: A court of competent jurisdiction releases someone, but the same prosecutors hold on to him. Are you not worried that our security agencies are made to believe that depriving people of their fundamental human rights is normal? Remember what goes around comes around. By the time our security agents become totally insensitive to human rights, you know what that will mean... |
