I am confused here....
- are you guys dating, as in MEETING AND HAVING A DESIRE FOR EACH OTHER or you just talk on the phone?
- since you have been "showering" this friend with gifts, don't you see why she want you to continue (thus suddenly pretending she values you)?
- has she ever made a friend fly gesture towards you, apart from thanking you?
- what makes you think this gal even likes you?!

The truth is that, if someone cares for your friendship, they will FIND time to meet you, some way or another. Here is a simple advice: stop giving this stranger ANYTHING, and see if she still "likes/cares" for you....

MrBrownJay1, we are not seeing. she only told to be visiting her in her working place if I want to see her. i do not buy the ideal of visiting a girl in a workplace. I do believe it's not gotten to that stage.

i love ur advice ,when a lady decides to remain at the friendship level & have deliberately refused to move to the next level why on ur own part u want something serious should I let her go & look for another person or should I stay hoping she 'lld change b/cos m in the same position with the OP.
