Seanjay:The truth is that anyone caught up in any violence in the north must be very stupid. What would anyone be doing in that wasteland? I remember my wife getting a job in Kano some years ago with British American Tobacco. I told her straight away she aint fucking going to that backward region if they cant offer a position in the south... As foul mouthed alot of ibos are, i would take them anyday anytime over those dirty mola. 1 Like |

Markfemi2: "Alaafin of Oyo backs restructuring, says current system retrogressive" The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, on Monday in Ibadan backed calls for Nigeria’s restructuring, stressing that the present arrangement would not allow states in Nigeria to develop at their own pace. The monarch spoke at the public presentation of a biography and postscript titled, ‘Samuel Ladoke Akintola in the eyes of history’, which was written by Femi Kehinde. According to Alaafin, the North was favoured in terms of revenue allocation because while more states and council areas were created in the region, the southern states had yet to enjoy similar opportunity. He said, “The first time that the Federal Government would interfere in state affairs began when the government at the centre interfered in the feud between Akintola and (the late Chief Obafemi) Awolowo. The government, in support of Akintola, declared a state of emergency in the old Western Region, snowballing into a serious crisis. quid: Try and make sense or shut up. The first dictator in this country was from the SE after a SE coup. You people introduced military juntas in this country, a problem we are yet to recover from. Now that your primitive machinations have come to bite you in the butt you are weeping like bush babies. Go sit down. |
