Thanks OP, just solved a long standing problem for me.

I still have two issues though
1. My whatsapp contacts disappeared. Trying to follow the previous steps suggested here to 'enable contacts' but I get a message that 'screen overlay detected'. Hence, cant enable my whatsapp contacts still.

2. My other phone cannot still detect the hot spot which I enabled. I cant see the hotspot enabled phone on the list of available networks.

Op pls any idea on how to solve this issue. My phone tecno f6 won't share data with any other device through Hotspot. Bluetooth tethering works well so also Wi-Fi. But the Hotspot will connect with other device, won't turn itself off but it the other device will not be able to access the internet. I've tried it both on pc and Android phones. Pls help me
