Something is wrong somewhere and you need serious prayer.A friend was in this kind of relationship, just about to marry. But whenever he dreams and see a snake the contract on the completion will be cancelled. He called on his pastor and was told that the girl has a spiritual commitment in her family and will never allow whomever is her husband to have money more than her.Which is you as a man will always be at her mercy, this friend did confront this girl and she said yes.It might not be your wife but could be family thing. So ask her questions and dig deeper in her family issue. Goodluck

I don't believe in all this spiritual, metaphysical stuffs but I know they exist,I don't even think about em cuz it makes no sense to me, ops story ain't the first ama read or hear about , I personally witnessed one first hand, when I was younger we had this family friend that was quite rich, a bachelor then with lots of apprentice working under him,his woes began when it was time to take a wife, the woman was lovely and homely but it was a sad/cruel coincidence cuz things took the wrong turn for him,his business crumbled, lost his cars, apartment, even lost a part of him, well I think we always have a way of putting the blame on an individual or on something, whenever issues like this arises, all cloudy and no sane excuse or reasons to be attached to the downfall, the way out of it? I really don't know, ain't religious .....its just best one doesn't go on a nosedive cuz people hardly recover from it.

you have already seen the handwriting but you pretend as if everything is ok.
take or leave it...the spiritual realms control the physical. confront the situation not necessarily your wife . go seek God's face .you can go for a retreat(camp)

Who is responsible for his loss?

When man get problem, they'll say it's his wife, if no wife _they say it's his mother.

When woman get problem, they say it's her in-laws, if no in-law _they say it's spirit husband.

When the man succeeds, it's his hardwork and mother's prayers grin.

Do you know that insurance companies pay for real in Nigeria? Many do not know or believe and that is ignorance but they do. Ignorance can be costly

Op,may God help you out of this situation
Don't leave your wife
Don't keep anything from her
From your explanation you don't have any personal problem with her you love her
But sincerely this is purely a spiritual matter
She need to break up with the spiritual husband and break the ties all will cost you serious prayer and time
See you will still enjoy her there is a glory attached to her that's why she's been attached
Great destiny provoke the devil if you leave any man that fight the battle will surely enjoy her glory you have suffer for this long in silence but I pray for you may God release his camp of angels to fight your battle in Jesus name
Beloved, seek divine help, seek God diligently and you get your desire result I can foresee you getting time three of what you lost in Jesus name
The only solution to this case is spiritual spiritual spiritual and you soon start smiling again in Jesus name
Peace be unto you my bro

you have not learnt your lesson. Before I got to the part where you talked about spirit husband, I already knew. I won't advice you divorce the woman. instead, take her for deliverance. T B Joshua is a specialist in that field. Do the needful before it's too late.

Of course I know that, though Nigerians prefer to cover their cars/business with the blood of Jesus. Then look for who to blame when things don't go well.

allenroundabout:

Today is my wedding anniversary. I got married in 2010. I actually don't know if my marriage is a curse or there are other forces affecting my life.

I went into my marriage with 6 trucks and they were all working within southwest. All the trucks are gone!

I am a 37year old man from Enugu state. I got married at the age of 31 to a beautiful lady from Edo state.

I started my logistic company when I left my salary job in 2007. I started with 3 trucks and I was able to grow and acquired 3 more trucks before 2010.

I met my wife when she was serving in Enugu. I visited my parent in enugu that very year. We got talking and one thing led to the other. She got pregnant towards the end of her service year and moved in with me immediately after her service.

We had our traditional wedding, though her mum (father is late) wasn't at the wedding. She didn't inform her, she said she doesn't have a relationship with her and that they are not in talking terms. Though her aunt (her mum sister) was actively involved and present. She made up with her mum years later and they are both fine now.

I lost my 6 trucks in 3years with debts that I had to settle by selling my uncompleted buildings in Enugu and Lagos. I have not paid some debts till now. Note that I acquired those properties before my wedding.

I lost 2 trucks in 2010 December, lost 1 in 2011, then lost remaining 3 trucks to accident in 2013.

It usually happened whenever we quarreled and she got really angry. That very night, I would see myself being locked up by a man in a room with an iron gate in my dream. The next trip for any of my trucks would be an accident or there would be a major problem on the road.

I was out of business in 2014 to mid 2015 when I decided to travel out of Nigeria for some hustling. I told my wife about my plan but she said she is sure my plan is to marry another woman when I get to Europe. I made some promises to her before I left.
On getting to the airport in holland, I was put into the next flight to Lagos from Schipol airport in Holland.

I became very broke after the failed trip and I had to open up to friends and family who still thought I was a big man. I was able to secure a 35k salary job through a friend. My wife came to my place of work, told my boss that I beat her. She lied! (I have never done that before and I didn't do it). I lost the job.

In all this, I have always struggled to pay our rent, we pay our son school fee together while she handles 75% of food stuff in the house. She works and earns around 65k. She has been supportive.

I have prayed and she has prayed too, but nothing has changed in my finance. It is getting worse everyday. One night, I prayed and begged God to reveal to me the source of my problem, I had a dream that night. In the dream, my wife told me she is married to the prince of their kingdom and that the prince is always with us sometimes on the bed when we are sleeping. She said his boys are the one I always see fighting me in my dreams. My wife told me all this in my dream. I am scared of discussing this dream with my wife because she is a prayerful woman and it will sound like I am saying she is the cause of my problem. I am confused.

I also consulted a pastor, the pastor said witches are seriously dealing with me. He also said my wife has a spiritual husband that is very powerful. He warned me never to discuss any of my plans with my wife again. That I should always tell her after the execution of such plans (plans that has to do with my business). I find it strange and hard to believe, what is the essence of having a wife if we can have 100% openness. I continue to discuss my business plans with wifey and they are always failing. Sometimes I will be too happy to hide it from her. (Lol)

We have a small car that is strictly for taking my son to school. My rent expired in May and there is no hope of money for me. Landlord is already on me. If I sell this last only car to pay this rent, what are we going to sell to pay the next rent? I think maybe we should separate for a while and when things change for better again, we can come together. I have not discussed this with my wife. Is this a right step? Her mum and her mum sis (they are both widows) has a big house here in Lagos, she can move to the house while I get a driving job with an accommodation package. This way, I can support and pay my son's school fee.

Please people advice me.

For reasons like this I thank God Almighty I didn't marry my ex who is Igbo. Cos all igbo men seem to blame their wives for any misfortune they pass through.

U have a good supportive wife who is feeding u yet u and ur pastor are isolating her and blaming her for things she knows nothing about.

What is happening to u is simple. It's called life! It has its ups and downs!

If u feel there is any spiritual impediment go to a Bible believing church for deliverance.

Stop blaming ur wife.

Your advice is the most ridiculous I have come across this year. Next time if you lack decent advice, please don't open your mouth

uote author=newyorks post=60749753]hmm what are u living for then if truely u saw urself caged and u still hav hope of getting on the marriage.

the truth here is that they caged u and made u incapacited so can't help urself out but u must act fast.;

i can't loose everything for marriage and still stay without solution, and u acted like someone under a spell for marrying a lady with her only surviving mother unacceptance. she told u she's not in terms with mother and u went ahead with the marriage,

who trained her in school? [/quote]

Nothing is wrong with your wife. It rather seems like when you displease her, bad things happen, which is normal in a marriage. Maybe you need to listen to your wife more actually and plan with her. Let me tell you, you started associating every problem with your wife, that is why you are here today. From reality to dreams to reality again. What you think is what you dream and what you become.

You have also never taken responsibility for your actions. At least it's not your wife that was driving the trucks, it was human beings who you hired that drove the trucks. That was your fault because you did not do a good job when hiring people. Does Dangote not have the same problems? His drivers even kill people out of reckless driving. At least thank God none of your trucks killed someone, or you would have been in trouble.

About your pastor, I am sure you told him what you are telling us here. So why are you surprised that he will tell you your wife has spiritual problems? These pastors tell you what you want to hear. So they can control you completely. Pastor also wants to destroy your family by telling you not to discuss with your wife.

I suggest you sit your wife down and tell her everything including everything the pastor said. See her reaction and see if she will discuss the issue. Then you can go from there. Never let an outsider like pastors especially ruin your life. Be very careful with pastors. Many are fake, diabolical and desperate.

As for your wife coming to your work to lie on you so you lose your job. I am sorry but I don't believe that. I think that part was either added to sweeten the tale or you really did beat her. This is because only once in your story did you mention an irrational act that she did. Which means she is not the type to ordinarily make up stories. No woman will want to be the sole provider for her family with 65k and be happy.

Finally, I think you should communicate your worries, your dreams, your pastors information and everything to your wife. I think you guys should find a solution to your problem as a family. It is not strange that you lost all these things. That's life. But we are quick to equate life happening to us to a spiritual problem and even blaiming our loved ones.

Many so called billionaires today are even more broke than you. If in a business you do not follow it closely, set back and calamity must happen. You really should be taking all the lessons you learned in your business failure and use it to build yourself back up. All of us fail at one point or the other. It's not spiritual, it's life teaching us the lessons we need to learn to get from point A to point B.

He said his wife physically came to his office and said some things leading to his sack and you said, he was lieing.

You are funny to say a 37 year old man does not know what he is saying.. If you doubted that aspect, you should have also doubted that he once had 2 houses and 6 trucks.

In advicing people, do not make them appear stupid because of their predicament.

Nigeria is not good economically now because 5 years back, in my type of biz, one could easily generate 100,000 in a day but story has changed under APC, yet that is NOT enough for one to say it is spiritual.

But for this man, what he is going through is not physical. He even sold his houses. Yet under DEBT. Does that not look like HE WAS UNDER SPELL coupled with bad dreams ?

In fact, the first place a man sees how successful he is or will be is in his subconscious mind which plays out in our night dreams. The Bible said Joseph dreamt and saw his brethren sheaves bowing to his. He saw the Sun and Moon and 11 stars bowing to him, yet he was just a boy when he dreamt all that.

And one atheist comes to tell us that dreams do not happen.

The fundamental mistake all of you make is driven by your desires.Desire and false thinking that problems and tribulations are not for Christians and Christians must be rich and healthy. You show a profound misunderstanding of your own religion. Yes good Christians lose everything and the solution for all of you is to go in search of one man of God or the other. Who did God make malaria for? Muslims only?

How many people in the bible came to Jesus because their business was not doing well? You are all carnal folk who select the parts of the scripture that suits you.

From a purely philosophical perspective it is possible to bounce back from losing everything without subscribing to fearfulness and superstition dressed up as Christianity. What matters is ATTITUDE. and your attitude is all wrong. You are looking for a magical answer instead of asking genuine questions about how you managed your business. The right attitude here if you are religious first is to thank God and look for the opportunity in this setback. I presume you are not blind in the eyes and still have your arms and legs, are not HIV positive and do not have cancer.I am sure there is still a list of positive things in your life.Somewhere in Lagos TODAY there is someone sleeping on the street who will in 10 years time be telling us how he made it .It will all come down to ATTITUDE not praying and fasting. Everything happens for a reason and if it does not break you it will make you

The only prayer that is of value is to what the Igbos call their Chi, I mention that because you are Igbo. Talk to your chi and decide where you want to go. Don't go to any person
you are mixing a whole lot of things up. No one says Christians must be rich, no one says one person is involved in some issue. Yes, self reflection is key and what makes it perfect is checking thoroughy associates. Did you see where he pride himself on his past success of acquiring 3 extra trucks? Will you say he didn't have the right attitude? He is only being advised to get sensitive... yes, him and his wife. Question is, is the woman teachable and does she listens... I am not sure. See, demons exist.. even Muslims talk jins. I was watching a Chinese film last night, the religion potrayed was Buhda and it was about demons.

Bros please don't blame or think that anyone is responsible to problems,Nigeria is a very hash place to do business especially transport business, from bad roads to mechanics and drivers always trying to take over everything you own for themselves, from 2007 to date I've lost more than you've lost simply because I wanted to invest in Nigeria, now who should I blame?since am not married to a Nigerian woman.

Times are tough in the world talk less of Africa,my advice is for you to try and make a move again, when you fail try try again.life is harder being a married person in Nigeria,so many obstacles to face.

I hope things improved for you guys.GL
You nailed it. I cannot begin to count here what I have lost in business but it all comes down to me . I did not fully understand what I was doing and paid dearly for my ignorance.Sometimes you are successful by luck when in reality you do not know what you are doing but sooner or later you are found out. One thing I am very conscious of is that I do not associate with superstitious people AT ALL. By superstitious I mean anyone who is suggesting visiting a man of god or suggesting that this and that is "spiritual" or anything magical or supernatural. They tend to have a way of finding themselves to propagate their nonsense
I just do not associate with such people or allow them to influence me.

Your mind is your most important asset and just like you will not open your mouth for anyone to defecate in it so do not allow even by joke anyone to induce superstitiousness in you. Such people are to be avoided like HIV.

Brotherly sorry for your failures!!! Nevertheless do not totally believes that your wife is responsible or one spirit husband or the other. The truth is things happen like everyday. I remembered when I was in courtship with my wife I lost my job and things were not fine. I tried to separate myself from her it didn't work so we moved on together and things are better now by God grace. Businesses fail and rise that is the rule. I know some people who are in the same truck business like u. And the whole thing fail. Firstly learnt what makes it fail most transportation buzz are usually run down by people that manages it for the owner. On the issue of your failed travel did u have valid papers before you leave naija or you follow short cut Please be honest with yourself, go to a bible believing church pray very well. I am not saying everything is physical there might be elements of spiritual attack there too. But that is where prayer comes in. If u are xtian yourself you don't need to go to any pastors. Pray with your wife and son. God honours family and he will answer your family prayers. Thanks God bless!!!!!
question is, is his wife a good listener and teachable? Whilst I understand the frustration of penury in marriage, I still don't think it is normal for a woman to go to her spouses' office and make a scene.

I don't believe in spirit husband or wife.

it's Prolly your mindset, you have no one to blame and can't understand why that is happening to you hence you are blaming your wife which in turn make you have dreams because you already have a fixed mindset

although it seems your wife also has her issues but this is nothing spiritual.

talk to your wife also talk to experienced business men and ask for advice.

if you say you want to start moving from church to church and going to mountains to fast and look for solutions. you will waste your money and time.

seek solution and not comfort in spirituality or religion.

besides this same spirit wife/husband people said a person with a spirit husband won't be able to get pregnant or get married so why did her 'spirit husband' allow her get married and have a child.

let your wife leave the home to a comfortable place so you can concentrate on hustling some cash

So you can be reasonable? I thought there's a curse following you, try and keep this up

Op don't listen to all those people telling you not to worry or to continue telling your wife things.
It wouldn't cost you anything to keep things from her for a while. Just see if it would yield positive results.

There are two things involved
It's either she is aware and a part of it ie a wicth also (which is a worse case scenario)
Or
She is aware but as helpless as you are. ( that way you can convince her to go for deliverance, if she is a good wife.)

At first you either leave the house without informing her for a month or so to hustle. And see how far

If she is a witch my brother, na war because she might find it hard to let you go.

So be going for deliverance services in mfm, fast and pray.
Mfm will teach you how to do dry facing for days those are the most effective

Whatever you do please DON'T LET HER IN ON YOUR PLANS.

Forget love for now. Use your head.

She is not an witch. She may not even know what is going on.

Both of them need deliverance and the man needs to change business. Transport no be am.

A lot of business threads we encountered on Nairaland frontpage led lots of us into wrong businesses. Businesses propounded by excited and inexperienced people..

I won't advice an enemy to invest in transportation. I have first hand experience in it.

I think like you in time past, but now I realised the tussle that takes place in the lives of people. You're right when you say weak mind, but the truth is the strategy involved in demobilizing strongmen is to attack their mind and the rest becomes easy. The OPs mind has been attacked and he needs counselling from a strong mind.
Spiritual stuffs can't be exempted, but once the ops mind can be restored to default configuration and upgraded with the right information, he'll be fine.

They way someone else marriage is analyzed puzzle me.
Quote me anywhere, " if you marry a woman and lose your job afterwards, divorce her because she is not your second half"
It's biblical, " he that findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtaineth favor from God"
God's word can never be upturned or mocked or changed, once you get otherwise from God's word, then you have a problem.
I can tell you strongly that I understand how you feel because I was in same shoes with you, I mean exactly same shoes, I have two exotic cars, had wonderful job, was about building my duplex on one of my several landed properties but ask me where all these are now....
Advice: first move is to stop all business communication to your wife, and but only discuss your welfare with her, care for her ...mine is worst because she is mannerless ( mum thought her nothing from cooking to cleaning house)
Second, always make her relax by painting a wonderful future and that you have money now. Just create an impression that you are doing well to deceive anyone using her to get at you. Everything will eventually open to you.
Try this two first and thank me later.
And go back to arrange your life, stop thinking about your wife now .... Distract yourself always but provide food at home for them.
I rest my case

The better for you.
You already have the revelation of the source of ur predicaments and a perfect solution in mind, but u're worried about people will say.

Unfortunately, many of these demonic and satanic ladies are everywhere on nairaland and won't see anything wrong with ur wife.

Ndi oso chi egbu
Even the Bible is very explicit on this,,,
"he that finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from God"

you are mixing a whole lot of things up.
I am not mixing anything. If you do not understand me seek clarifications

Some do say Christians must be rich so if you don't know that educate yourself and quit dissembling. In fact some churches announce that doctrine as their signature
Yes I will say he has a superstitious attitude because he believes his wife can magically influence his wealth. Now we may not agree on that as a reality but that is my opinion and belief so do not come at me talking rubbish saying I am mixing things up.
Demons exist for people like you not me. That is a fundamental reality you fail to grasp.Everyone's reality is not the same. In yours their are demons but not in mine

Bro, I really understand your plights and predicaments. I'm glad you know God and believe in Him - He doesn't fail.

Please disregard the comments of those saying 'your problems aren't spiritual'. It's only the animal that uses its teeth to climb a tree that can dictate a bitter tree. Who no go no know.

You prayed to God to reveal your source of your predicaments and He did; are you still doubtful? Even your pastor confirmed your fears, do you still need a soothsayer?

We are often taken aback whenever we hear that a committed and prayerful christian is possessed by an evil spirit - but it's true. I'm not totally happy with the pastor you visited, he need not to rouse your tension only. As a man of God, he should have prescribed a perpetual remedy to that malaise.

Please separate (not divorce) from her for a season while you sort things out and wriggle out from this mire of hardship. As the pastor enthused, don't tell her your plans for now. Going back to eat from a calabash having tasted food from a china is bad. If you find yourself in such a similar situation, do everything manly possible to return things to status-quo.

Keep praying. Don't relent. Keep loving her as usual; remain supportive too. The most needful thing to do is to look for a good bible believing church run by a genuine man of God where deliverance (just prayers) will be carried out on her, you and son.

Please do not lose hope; God is still on the throne. He doesn't fail. No matter how long the evil days lasted, good and better days must come. Trust me, it must surely end in praises.

I greet you!

Of course I know that, though Nigerians prefer to cover their cars/business with the blood of Jesus. Then look for who to blame when things don't go well.

blame spiritual husbands and wives

I think like you in time past, but now I realised the tussle that takes place in the lives of people. You're right when you say weak mind, but the truth is the strategy involved in demobilizing strongmen is to attack their mind and the rest becomes easy. The OPs mind has been attacked and he needs counselling from a strong mind.
Spiritual stuffs can't be exempted, but once the ops mind can be restored to default configuration and upgraded with the right information, he'll be fine.
I agree as long as we do not pretend it has to be of a religious coloring. There are many sound teachings in the bible that can help here but they exist in many other places too and are Natural laws that apply to ALL men. The statement as a man thinketh is fundamentally true. Your life today reflects your thinking yesterday. The way to change your tomorrow is to change your thinking today.

Dangote is a billionaire because he was thinking it one day.
Buhari lost presidential election how many times with this same wife
