The Ooni of Ife Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi on Friday visited Umuahia, the capital city of Abia state to preach Nigeria’s unity.

Oba Ogunwusi in his quest of preaching oneness of the country renamed the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as Indigenous People of Brighter Nigeria (IPOBN), saying the youths that constitute the membership of the group should not be discarded.

He further expressed disappointment on the proscription and tagging of IPOB a terrorist group adding that they were just youths crying against the injustice in the country.

He said

“There is something that is bothering them that is making them to cry. We should not throw them away; we should draw them closer (because) the youths of this country are the future, the energy. They are the heart beat of this country,” he stated.

He said the youths have a lot of energy which could be channeled to something positive adding that the youths would always have his support.

“We must chart the course of doing things with positive energy. I want to let you know that you are not alone in this; we stand by you positively in a very progressive manner. We stand by you that we all must come together to build a united Nigeria. We don’t want any war; we don’t want any disintegration,” he added.
Ikpeazu, in his response, said that he was honoured and privileged to play host to the monarch.

He said he has put in place programs to assist members of the Indigenous People of Biafra for massive employment of youths to channel their energies positively.

This is the reason why we need youths to hold our traditional institutions.

They understand the plights of the youths and can find a way to proffer solution to any problem faced by this youth. Not some elders coming in with an archaic approach to solve 21st century problems.

Ooni, despite the fact that these IPOB youths do mock his marital life online, he is still magnanimous to associate with them and advise them in a friendly way.

Ikpeazu, Abia state governor, is saying IPOB youths are jobless youth.

Let them go and register for E for E (Education for Employment), which is an initiative by his administration for jobless youths like the IPOBians.

What is Ooni's business in Potor affairs pls?
Leave Aba Jews alone to do as they like.... my people no go hear!

Some Yoruba leaders should learn to mind their effing businesses for once!

Did the IPOB people tell you or beg any of you Ajala Obas that they want their names Changed?
This is how they end up entangling themselves and the Yorubas whom they represent in matters that are none of our business.

This Ooni has no dignity atal..

What's his business with Ipob, same people who preach hatred towards the Yoruba race.

Now I see why Oba Akinolu dislikes him. He is not only foolish but daft too

This is what nairaland has turned to. They will soon come here to insult Ooni. They are just everywhere on the internet like the air you breath. If you are not careful, you would read their hate-filled views on issues and mistaken them to be the views of patriotic Nigerians.

Indigenous People of Brighter Nigeria Kor, Indigenous People of Blacker Nigeria ni. Mtcheeew

You're just all over the place. Please make up your mind. Choose to be stupid or show that you get small sense. It's not that difficult, except you have a mental health challenge which I actually suspect

The simpliest route to one-Nigeria. Remove injustice, treat and develop Nigeria as one nation and people. And to crown them all love the people of Nigeria irrespective of where they came from or reside. That is the new Nigeria.. I urge every sincere ruler to reciprocate also because peace pay more..Thank you Ooni

Exactly what the president, minister of interior should have done. It's all about diplomacy.

Their nonchalant attitude led to the growth of the group and popularized the founder.
