It is the double standard in our society. Most Husbands don't consider a woman who doesn't play wifey roles as good wives if she doesn't do some chores due to circumstances esp her job but if the tables are turned, people will tell the wives to not be angry because no matter what, he is her husband. They expect a husband to flex muscle and react if wifey goes astray but expect wifey to swallow any problem(even if proper beatings and abuse is involved) and pray.. grin grin
Thank you, now you get the logic. cheesy

This is a open forum, anybody can contribute.

I take this as fallacy.

Take example of Tiwa and TeeBillz saga and tell me what you think.

Bro, it's a huge sin for one to believe the rantings of a disgruntled scorned woman..... It takes a person without any iota of reasoning faculty to believe a man like teebillz that sold his car to finance tiwa's music videos will not provide money for ordinary pampers and baby food.

OP people will never understand your logic unless you remove religion from their senses. Abrahamic religions specifically.
Men will always think they are superior because their God says so.

TeeBillz was only the manager of Tiwa(I don't know if he's still the one), so even if I agree with you that teebillz sold his car to finance tiwa's music videos, are you saying tiwa hasn't pay her dues? So all her shows-profits hasn't clear the so call car? Is the deal not on agreement?

According to her, TeeBillz spent the money gain from the shows lavishly and even the family account on edible catering and cuting his hair while tiwa is working day and night in the studio to produce good music and mind you tiwa can get another manager. Now tell me who's doing the work here?

Oga.. Why will u believe a disgruntled woman's words?

Why will u do that?.... Studies have shown that an angry woman spews thrash and lies 98% of the time... All her words are spewed via hate and anger with her only aim being to revenge.... Take the case of tonto dikeh and Churchill...

At least in this part of the world she is right
A man is the head regardless of his financial situation
How many men drop their surname to answer a woman's surname after marriage regardless of their financial status?
Will your children answer your surname or your wife surname regardless of your financial status?
The answer to why a man will remain the head lies in the last question....Untill children stop answering the surname of the man, the man remains the head...& if u are not okay with it, u can kill yourself, because u can't change it....

If a man uses the I feed you, cloth you and house you excuse to call the shots in a bullying way in the house, why can't the wife also call the shots when roles are reversed?

In this your example, the man clearly doesn't want to be involved in the household

Does the wife also offer physical protection?

Does the wife also keep a cool head when things aren't going well?

Is the wife accountable for her actions?

Interesting, so as the wife you did the responsibility your husband suppose to have done but he still deserve the head of the house?

If Buhari didn't do the responsibilities as the president but he is responsible in character and tries to break through, does he deserve to be the head of state, will you vote him in next election?
Stop looking for cheap likes on nairaland.

If a man doesn't give birth does it make him a woman?
Being head of the family isn't tied to finances. If a woman enters menopause or for any reason didn't get pregnant, she is a goat or man.

All this una nairaland life don do

Hello folks.

I want to know if the husband still earn/deserve the position of "head of the house" if the wife is the breadwinner?

Is the "head of the house" earned or a birth right for men?

I understand some men lost their job and their wife took/take up the responsibilities but what happens when the wife is the one keep doing it for years, no positive move from the husband?

In that situation the woman is not even only the head. She is also King and Queen and Chief Judge and Executioner combined grin grin grin

The second one is more ridiculous.

Blame it on the diçk. cheesy

Context matters.
If the man is the type that rules the house with iron fist
just because he is the provider.
He doesn't deserve to be the head if he loses his financial power.

However, for a relationship built on love and mutual respect this
question doesn't even arise because nobody is being "ruled" in the
first place and the couple can easily adjust and cooperate on issues
as they have always done.

As you lay your bed, you must lie on it.

God did not design the woman to be the breadwinner of the family, it is the man that is given this task. However, when the basest of men took power, he has tried stridently striven to overturn the divine order of all things, he has failed. All he needs do now is wait for his punishment.

Unfortunately this isn't even the true, I'm not supporting tiwa either, I watched the video I didn't see an angry woman but an emotionally down woman, while teebillz was on his way to the lagoon to commit suicide. According to my psychological reasoning, teebillz was guilty of what happened, he was even the one that expose the marriage clash in media.

So which study is that? In fact in study I found it says people that got angry are most times the ones being honest because they are frustrated and pour out their mind. But I don't hold to any of these studies as truth can't be judge on ones reaction or emotion.

Women tends to express thier emotions than men, I guess that was what happened in Tonto and Churchill saga, I don't believe in any of them stories but we can't deny Tonto who was frustrated was all lying and no true in her words?, she gave evidence of her bruises.

For me No... A friend of mine had a side chick who is a police officer. Whenever she misses him, she'll just come in uniform and arrest him in presence of his wife at home and take him to her home till the next day. Then she takes him back and tells his wife “we are not done with the investigations yet. I shall pick him up anytime we want more information from him“ Then his wife always say: 'madam officer, we thank God for you oo'. God bless you. What do you call this?!

Get this into your skull,

the right of men to lead is granted by God Almighty, through millions of years of evolutionary makeup evidenced by our biological and emotional difference to women.

This natural right of leadership handed to men is for better for worse and cannot be negated by financial disposition, societal adaptation, cultural fad or philosophical leanings!

Biology can never be altered.

Somethings are never meant to be changed!

Oga... U need to learn to know the difference between '' angry and disgruntled ''.... That's the first step... Then we can discuss... You are just running round in circles and it's mentally draining...... You believe tontoh because she showed u her bruises but u forgot the same tonto posted pictures of cars, diamonds, phones etc gifted to her by the same husband she has been denigrating...... You tend to believe an emotionally imbalanced woman..... It's ur call.
