AugustineAgain: South Africa was going to give Namibia independance from the 70's onwards. But we would not do so with PLAN insurgents and massive Cuban formations in the North. We destroyed PLAN (SWAPO is not PLAN) and got the Cubans to withdraw We were never concerned with who ran Angola - that was beyond the scope of our objectives, if we were we would have taken the whole country during Operation Savannah Thus, clearly, we were victorious. Again, Lies dont make good arguments. 1 Like |

AugustineAgain: No, your Hind with "2014 technology" does not compare at all, in any way shape or form to the Rooivalk. I refer you to this post: patches689: Not to mention that 90% of your "36 helicopter gunships" are just troop transports with rocket pods attacked to them, which makes them beyond useless. |

agaugust: We never realy gave a sh1t about UNITA We kept them alive while they served our interests. Once they stopped serving our interests they became irrelevant. What happened in Angola (as long as there were no Cuban troops) was none of our concern. |

agaugust: 70 Hind were shot down by Rebels in Afghanistan. That makes it less than Rebel worthy. The hind is an obsolete flying donkey. Weapon systems are not judged on arms sales. And it only took the Rooivalk 1 hour of combat to prove that it was superior to the Hind... what does that say about your hind? Reminder: South Africa makes a better Hind than Nigeria can afford to buy. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 1:40am On Aug 31, 2014 |
agaugust: We got 10 because we only need 10. The SANDF is not broke and is about to have its budget doubled and $9 Billion in Aquisitions. Yes, we only need 10 as: 1. We know how to use them 2. They are real attack helicopters - not confused troop transports 3. Each Rooivalk is worth 10 Hind Dude, Rooivalk is a pure bred attack helicopter that is superior to the Hind in every way. How do we project force with only 10 attack helicopters? Well... it only took 2 Rooivalk to defeat 4 seperate rebel groups in Eastern Congo. Nigerias mythical helicopter fleet has yet to defeat any rebel groups. Why are your hinds not helping you take back your lost terrirtory? Because Nigeria cannot even porject force in Nigeria!! You will never be the strongest military in Africa while BH defeats you every single day of the week. |

agaugust: A longass post that says nothing Typical. Dude, you know absolutely nothing... I could go through your posts and highlight all the absolutly ridiculous things you have said, but I dont have enough time!! Lol, you said the Maverick is the best in the world - its not, Brimstone is, RBS-15 Mk 3 is, AGM-130 is. Maverick is obsolete 1970's junk. Anyway, We are talking about ASM's that are designed for use on Helicopters. So to stop you constantly moving the goal posts let me be extremely specific for you: The Mokopa is the best helicopter launched ASM-ATGM in the world. The Rooivalk is the only helicopter that carries it. And milimeter band radar means that it is multi-role - anything with ANY metal in it can be targeted. 1 Like

Why would we want training from those that cannot even secure their own waters? 3 Likes
