....and your Valour Frigates will leave the ocean and sail on dry land into cities like C.A.R. Bangui so that their Lynx helicopters can use radar there? Fool !

Anyway, how much endurance does Lynx have airbone to compete with ATR-42 ? How many computers and sophisticated electronic consoles does your tiny Lynx have to compete with a huge ATR-42 ?

Your Lynx helicopter is a toy for kids, when compared to our mighty ATR-42 Surveyor.

Go sit down men !

The thing about helicopters is that they are not tied to the ships.

Nigeria has very big solid minerals deposits, Limestone from Ewekoro is still being mined today by WAPCO-Lafarge cement, it's been on before my father was born. Benue cement, Ashaka cement, Dangote cement, that have their own Limestone mines in other far away parts of Nigeria.

Nigeria also has oil sand Bitumen deposits that is not counted with oil and not controlled by OPEC production quota, our Bitumen in Ilaje Ondo is among the largest in the world and how many solid minerals do you want to count in Nigeria? Government gets royalties everyday and our VAT revenue is huge with the biggest economy in Africa.

Giant in population, Giant in dollars, Giant in GDP, Giant in economic growth rate, Giant in intelligence, Giant in international influence, Giant in arts and science, Giant spiritually and physically....that is Nigeria for you !
.

This guy is talking about limestone when we are talking about Coal, Gold, Platinum, Uranium and Shale Gas?

South Africa has the worlds biggest Mineral reserves - valued at $2.5 trillion. Our top 13 Mining companies dominate 95% of the worlds market cap.

USA has aircraft carrier advantage.

Russia has submarine advantage.

They will both destroy each other, balance of power, reason why they avoid each other since 1945
.

Reason they avoid each other is Nuclear, not Naval.

America dominates with Carriers
America dominates with Surface Vessles
America dominates with Submarines (71 compared to Russia's 61)

USN wins hands down, Russia does not stand a chance

LOL, the 330km radar range of NAF ATR-42 was found by me first and secondly by @Andrewza last year, nobody argues about it. So you found a different radar range different from what @Andrewza and I have been posting? I dare you to post your own source. Lol.

ISR and ISTAR are linked, and NAF ATR-42 is now superior to all the ones in manufacturers data sheet because we upgraded to ELINT levels and full ISTAR capabilities, and NAF also has Beechcraft 350 ER as extra ISTAR aircraft.

Butt hurt mugu, tell us your own research result for ATR-42 radar range, I will set you up to challenge @Andrewza's 330km range....you wanna mess yourself up? I will help you get into another mess today and you will struggle to get out of it but you won't be able grin grin
.

I asked for Radar specs, you post a source saying they were in there - they arent. So show us a source which confirms 350km range and stop avoiding the question.

ISR is a lessor form of ISTAR. Your ATR is an ISR platform.

Beechcraft 350 is a VIP transport, not ISTAR - confirmed by the fact that it is operated by a VIP transport squadron.

The only one in a mess here is you. Show us your 350km range specs.

Nope. Su-35 will kill F-15. Sukhoi PAK T-50 will kill F-22 Raptor.

T-90SM will match the best Abrams.

Russian missiles with match American missiles.

The USA is just more flashy, expensive and photogenic, with a big ego and boastful national pride.

Russia is a silent killer anytime
.

F-15 is not designed to fight the Su-35. F22 Raptor is designed to do that, and it will do it with ease. Learn the difference between Multi-Role and Air-superiority fighters.

PAK-FA is not operational, and will only become operational into service in 2016... F-22 has been in service since 2005. Meaning Russia is 11 years behind America in that department. And the F-35 is another step ahead, that will eat the PAK-FA on autopilot and even the F-35 will be introduced before the PAK-FA... meaning that America is TWO platforms ahead of Russia.

T-90SM is nothing more than an upgraded T-72. Its obsolete rubbish and the Russians are allready trying to replace it with with the T-95 (which was cancelled because it was obsolete before they finished designing it) and now with the Armata. Abrams will destroy it with ease. The Dorchester/Chobham armor with the new DU layer is practically in-penetrable.

Plus the new M1A3 will be introduced around the same time as the new Armata, meaning the Americans will maintain their lead in tank design.

Russian missiles match american missiles because americans dont focus on missiles. Russia knows that they will NEVER be able to match American Air or Naval power, so they focus on missiles because that is the only way that they will stand a chance.

Again, you know nothing.

LOL, Nigerian army's new amphibious BMP-2 IFV has 33mm armour, even a 23mm cannon CANNOT penetrate it.

Show proof
By the way, what is the armour thickness of SANDF dry land only Ratel, Rooikat, and Badger in millimeters ?

Cuban girls were using 12.7mm guns to eat up your Ratels while your men were screaming for help, getting killed by teenage Cuban girls in Angola war grin

.

Show proof of 33mm. At 33mm it would be to heavy to float.

Ratel is 20mm don't know the others of hand.

2014

The use of simulation as a cost-effective training aid in the landward arm of the SA National Defence Force (SANDF) is moving forward with the acquisition of a GAMER Manpack live simulation system with support from Armscor.

“The system is a force-on-force live simulation one and is a solution for smaller instrumented force on force training in open environments as well as in enclosed areas such as buildings and ships. It is a man-portable, speedily deployable control and evaluation system based around small arms laser transmitters. Other elements are personal detection devices on battle jackets and helmets, a ruggedised laptop computer and a portable communication system,” said Kuben Thaver of Armscor.

The system now is use by the SA Army and field-tested for the first time during a mission readiness training exercise outside Bloemfontein.

The training and simulation team utilised the locally developed BattleTek Constructive Simulation System, IMPI Blue Force Tracking and associated software systems during the Command Post- and Commander’s Field Exercise to assist in declaring 5 SA Infantry Battalion “mission ready” for deployment to the DRC.

Manpack was fitted to 52 soldiers (own and opposition force members) and was successfully deployed during the Commander’s Field Exercise over a period of two days. The system’s value came to its full right at the After Action Review (AAR) where all senior officers and other military members present acknowledged the value the system added value to military exercises.

It was also in action during Exercise Young Eagle for airborne elements of the SA Army and planning is for it to be deployed again in planned landward force exercises.

Thaver said the acquisition was one which would increase the Army’s training capacity significantly without extra spend from an already constrained budget.

...Conclusion
Nigeria has managed to find itself in an almost perfect storm where practically everything that can go wrong is going wrong. These days the world produces roughly 90 million barrels of oil. But of that amount, only about 30 million barrels are produced by OPEC members. So the weapon of cutting supplies that OPEC used to use to raise prices won’t really work anymore. It’s a bit hilarious to hear the CBN accuse someone of spending money ‘lavishly’ given that this is what the Nigerian government has done for the past 4 years when oil prices have been high.

The banks also now know that if you apply pressure, the CBN will concede a goal and devalue again. It is a matter of when, not if. Within a few weeks, the new trading band for the Naira will be blown apart (if it hasn’t already as we speak). Cost of borrowing will also go up for everyone else due to the MPR and CRR squeeze. Things are going to be a bit rough for the next few months and if you have cash or better still, forex, you’re the (wo)man right now.

As bad as things were for Wilkins Micawber, he never stopped living in hopeful expectation. Indeed he lived by the maxim – something will turn up. smiley...

Haha Augububu dreaming as usual.

He should stop dreaming and accept that Nigeria is the grass that got trampled on by two elephants fighting:

"The big game changer for Nigeria has been the free fall in the price of crude oil. Brent crude is around $80 a barrel and at multi-year lows. Lower prices have eroded Nigeria's income. Nigeria is collateral damage in a red hot crude oil and geopolitical war, where the US (and Saudi Arabia) have tipped the oil markets into surplus in order to exert enormous pressure on Russia [in particular] amongst others. Nigeria will be hoping that OPEC (The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries) will cut supply on November 27 in Vienna."

They were grounded in October 2012 because of poor maintenance and Pakistan helped to pull them back on track and since then how much sure are we if they were able to get full time maintenance contract? We haven't seen them for quite a long time taking part in the fight against insurgency. So far we have only seen alpha jets in action.
