Nope - USAF considers pilots combat ready with just 50 hours per year
Half of french pilots only fly 40 hours per year on their main platforms
SAAF excellence has been confirmed by our joint exercises with other Gripen users where we impressed them

man.. you've lied so much you can't help it.

USAF "considers" does not mean they already fly 50 hours. are you sure you are okay?

half of french pilots still fly 180 hours per year and US pilots still fly 120. how is that even compared to the pathetic 1h 30mins per month of SAAF.

do you have shame at all

fact of the matter is, USAF - the best in the world- considers pilots with 50 hours per year to be combat ready

fact of the matter is that half of french pilots only get 40 hours on their main platforms and are combat ready

yet you insult us about averaging 60 hours per year?

No town is controlled by boko-haram. Operations are currently on-going in those areas.

500 airstrikes on a small town, yet the enemy is still dug in.

fact is USAF pilots still clock 120 hours per year.

fact is half of French pilots that are combat ready still fly 180 hours per year which is still way out of your league because half of those who fly the 180 hours is almost 10 times your 9 pilots.

yes, some USAF pilots do clock that, because they are the best in the world. We dont need to so we wont waste money on doing so. Fact is, USAF policy states: 50 hours per year makes you combat ready

Fact is the other half of french combat pilots fly less hours than we do

We can afford to maintain all gripen, if we need to. But at this point in time our defense requirements do need need Gripen pilots, we need Oryx pilots, so that is where funding is directed.

However, if the time comes that we need the Gripen fleet, it is ready and waiting, with a pool of Hawk LIFT pilots ready for conversion. We will not be caught with our pants down, like our dear brothers from east africa, whom only now, after years of war have found a platform that suits their needs, and yet still have to wait months (if not years) to have it operational.

Prepare for war in peace - 'tis the south african way.

Trained pilot is NOT = Qualified pilot.

SAAF has NO SINGLE qualified Gripen pilot, flight-global report says each pilot flies ONLY 33 hours a whole year....far far lower than about 150 hours required to qualify.

SAAF Gripen jet pilots are NOT qualified to go to war, NOT qualified to challenge NAF F-7 jets or incoming JF-17 Thunder shocked shocked
.

That's a green lie. Come and test our air force to find out yourself.

aside from the lies you are trying to convince yourself with, from your own comment you have helped us prove that:

SAAF truly lacks pilots for its gripen and rely on hawk pilots to magically convert to fighter pilots.

You have no aviation fuel.
No they cannot, that's why you are stuck with 9 pilots.
They are grounded because you are broke.
No, you only have 3 C-130's for a 1.2 million kilometre area.
Surplus aviation fuel
Naf only has 2 F-7 pilots, because you are broke.
No source that confirms that they ARE grounded.
We have 9 C-130BZ and all have been upgraded!

Considering it was bought as a spy satellite, under a program that is so secret it doesnt even have to answer to parliament, and that as a Kondor-E its a bit of an overkill for an generic observation satellite, i think its safe to say its a spy satellite

Bwahahahs grin

The satellite is Russian until proved otherwise. South African defense spokesman said owner of the satellite IS NOT known.... "What we don't know is whether the Kondor-E satellite that launched this morning (Friday) is Defence Intelligence's Kondor-E satellite which was part of Project Flute. To prove that is a challenge" .

It's still RUSSIAN OWNED PROPERTY today, Southies have no satellite and United Nation law will not allow secret sale of military grade satellites, even ordinary radar system sales are compelled to be reported to UN grin

At least 75 Boko Haram fighters were killed by Nigerian troops on Wednesday during a clash with the insurgents in Borno, security sources, and Power Holding Company of Nigeria staff have said. Troops patrolling Damboa after clearing the town of insurgents PR Nigeria

SaharaReporters gathered that over hundred Boko Haram fighters stormed Bulaburin village to attack military men who escorted PHCN staff to repair power installations that were destroyed by insurgents six months ago in Damboa.

The militants came in a convoy of Hilux vehicles and motorcycles but met heavy resistance, a military source said.

A PHCN staff on assignment in the area told SaharaReporters that the military killed up to 75 militants during the encounter.

He added, "I am happy today because it would have been a black day for us at Bulaburin. We went to repair Maiduguri electrical infrastructure which had been shut down by militants since July as we were working we started hearing sporadic gun shots, so the troops fought back. However, the intense fight affected our vehicles; we drove to Maiduguri on flat tyres" he said.

A security source told our reporter that the soldiers at the scene were at alerted immediately they were hinted that the Boko Haram were coming to attack them.

"Our soldiers climbed the telecom mast to see them, and behold they were coming in large numbers in Hilux pick up vans, motorcycles and cars. The soldiers waited for them, and when they came, they attacked them immediately," the security source said.
