Quote where I said its a Reccon Sat.

Any good earth observation sat can spy, does not have to be dedicated for spying, there are various technical capabilies

Earth observation sats lacks the resolution to conduct reccon. Their images are not detailed enough to distinguish small objects like Tanks, SAM installations etc. Off all the Earth observation Sats that are orbiting the Earth, name me one that has used for Reccon.

No, you only have 9 pilots for 26 planes.
14 Pilots.
NAF has 2 pilots for 11 F-7s

10 minute flight once in a while with only 10% of your air force fleet, is a poor man's achievement.

Claims without citations? Butthurt!

4th GEN fighters you only fly 1 hour 30 minutes per month in, or the 9 pilots you have for a fleet of 26 planes.

Which is it really?

You are entitled to your opinions. Not holding my breath for sources.

We have more pilots than you have radios for your rag-tag army!

No, you only have 9 pilots for 26 planes.

Then, it does not make sense that nine pilots can take 14 fighters up in the sky on rotational bases leaving out 12 in storage.

Nah!!! they are not the same. All your satellites do not have the latest technology called SAR which can penetrate through the cloud, thick bushes and trenches/ bunkers. Your satellites can only penetrate through the clouds but cannot see BH in thick bushes and in their hiding underneath the earth in bunkers. Your satellites are just ordinary sir.

You are leaving in a fool's paradise.

Your Airforce is a total sh1t hole. You had better dissolve the entire service, instead of going around claiming you have one.

The SAAF lacks everything. From pilots, to fuel, Aircrafts....... everything.

Simple maths tells me that 14 + 12 fighters in storage = 26. The remaining 12 fighters as shown above are rotated on schedule.

Before SANDF can ever think of dissolving their air arm of service, Nigeria should have dissolved theirs long time ago. The challenges that SAAF are facing are just a drop in an ocean compared to avalanche of troubles facing NAF.

Simple maths didn't tell you, you bought 26 planes, and half are only now grounded because you lack the funds and pilots to fly them.

The SAAF has only 18 Air crew members.

17 C models
9 D models.

9 pilots and 9 navigators.

Nigeria's 4th satellite is the latest technology in the whole world, it penetrates clouds and detects very small vehicles, we have posted that source and detail here 3 times in the last 6 weeks, so don't ask me to repeat it.

Then no satellite can penetrate a concrete bunker you Soweto fool !

Let's us see the challenges.

The SAAF,

Has it's entire A109 fleet grounded

Only has 3 C-130's for an area of 1.2 km

Has only 10 half-french helicopters for an area of 1.2 km

It lacks Avaition fuel

The service only has 9 pilots for 26 planes.

The service flies 56 years old Daks for MP duties

It lacks funds.

It also has half it's Gripen fleet in storage.

Is this service worth keeping afloat?

Yes, 9 Gripen pilots do not add up to 26 SAAF Gripens. The least should be 26 Gripen pilots for 26 jets, After 15 freaking years.

In 15 years from now, you still wouldn't have had enough pilots for your 26 Gripen jets. In 2029 the SAAF would have 18 Gripen pilots for 26 planes, and in 2044, 26 Gripen pilots for 26 planes.

The SAAF needs 45 years to train 26 Gripen pilots. undecided undecided

All those challenges you mentioned above are just a drop in an ocean compared to avalanche of troubles haunting NAF.

SA does not have any financial crisis per se, it has more financial muscle than Nigeria. If it can come to a push that SANDF can face challenges that Nigerian Armed Forces are facing now, it will even vote more budget thee times bigger than what NAF is getting now. It is just a matter of focus that SA government does not consider defence for now.

Chief, the kondor E sat build for SA is military sat as reported yesterday in the news. It has the ability to observe and penetrate the earth, trenches, thick bushes, bunker and even land mines. Moreover, it is using SAR, a feature that is not a factor in civialian earth observation satellites. The kondor E sat weighs about 1200kg which can never be a small sat. Your source is lost!!

The SAAF bought 26 Gripen jets. What you choose to do with them is your problem, apparently, you've chosen to lock half of them in a freezer.

The above aside, the SAAF should ordinarily have 26 pilots for her 26 planes after 15 whole years.

Instead, we now have to wait for 45 years to see the full complement of SAAF Gripen pilots.

Why 15 years? Our gripens do not have 15 years. Do not count the time during when the arms deal started. Count from when the first delivery was made. You must remember, Jets are not as simple as buying cars and get drivers thereafter. It takes time to develop one single jet and to produce pilots to fly them. One jet cockpit is totally different from another jet. Hence, there is no single Nigerian today who can fly a fourth generation fighter. SA has way more than 9 pilots as you say. All nine pilots are qualified and as well approved by SAAB to serve as instructors and train other pilots. SA gripen pilots are the best instructors under SAAB, this leaves no doubts why SAAB chose SA to build their flying school with SA pilots as instructors for gripen user countries.

Understanding English pose very difficult challenge for Nigerians. Well, I understand that your English is pidgin, a broken English as it can be well understood.

12 gripen fighters are not in cold freezer, so to speak. They are temporarily stored on hangers for their turn to come and rotated with another 12 gripen fighters which need to cool down. That's what we call rotation.

NAF purchased 12 F-7s in 2005, and could only manage to train 2 pilots in 9 years.
Thus it will take NAF 54 years to train 12 pilots for the 12 F-7s.

Its a shame, but true!

Trolling Agaugust & Ilk,
How were we able to conduct major exercises and Air demonstrations if we lack fuel? Who brought South Africa's deceased back home from your morgues. Mind you, morgues that did not have working fridges. They used fans!

Your attempts to insult us only shows your complexes. Peace-time SAAF is better than Nigeria's airforce. Always have, always will. It'll repel any airforce in SSA and that's a fact.
Your 'special forces' are about to be executed for defying orders because they lack the most basic of equipment, ammo and comms! Where in the world would you hear of such a thing?

Brothers, start by issuing boots, comms & ammo to all your soldiers. For God's sake, Some of your soldiers wear flip-flops in theatre and use mobile phones for comms yet you wanna weigh aviation fuel with SAAF? C'mon guys!

South African deceased were repatriated back on a chartered cargo plane to Johannesburg! Ask for proof and you'll get it instantly from me! No aviation fuel for your airforce because you cannot afford it! Period!!!

The Gripen instructors themselves don't fly enough hours to qualify. In SAAF, the blind leads the blind, both fall into the mud pit one day.

You are lost, you don't know how the flying hours work. I will teach you when I have time and I will not expect you to boast thereafter that you taught us how do flying hours work. I will give you free lectures.
