http://dailypost.ng/2017/01/25/resign-now-corrupt-aisha-yesuf%e2%80%8e-tells-buhari/

The co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG, group, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s letter to the Senate on why he cannot sack and prosecute indicted Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal.

Recall that Babachir had been alleged to have diverted money meant to fight humanitarian crisis in the North East, and the senate had called for his arrest and prosecution.

But Buhari, on Monday had explained why he cannot honour the senate’s report calling for Lawal’s arrest, prosecution and sack.

In her reaction, Yesufu called out the President, saying the reason for his defense was because he was corrupt.

In a series of tweets on her Twitter handle‏@AishaYesufu , she called on Buhari to resign.

She tweeted: “Does the President need the senate to even sack d SGF? You must not only talk tough. You must act it.

“It’s surprisingly amazing. President Buhari that was using sachet of milk and beverage now carrying teapot in London. Wahala dey.

“I will rather die imprisoned for saying the truth than become Defender of the Corrupt like President Buhari.

“Democracy is not fraud. The win for me was that we changed a sitting government and we would again Insha Alla.

“If Pres Buhari @MBuhari has any shred of honour, character & integrity he should RESIGN. Enough of the damage that might last a generation.

“If President Buhari can clear someone that stole 200m from vulnerable IDPs in this type of recession, then imagine what he would have done in abundance.

“Either Babachir looted on behalf of Buhari or President Buhari has looted more and Babachir has evidence or PMB is going senile.

“In Nigeria when one is poor one is faceless, nameless and voiceless. President Buhari whom the poor supported massively just reaffirmed it.

“Rich Nigerians must get fair hearing. The rest can be lynched for whatever reason on the streets. Whatever you do, don’t be poor in Nigeria.

“In Nigeria it seems stealing is not crime. It’s stealing small amount or stealing while you are poor or with no connection that’s the crime.

“Rich Nigerians must get fair hearing. The rest can be lynched for whatever reason on the streets. Whatever you do, don’t be poor in Nigeria.

“And I would give up on it if you actually stood up for him.”

Ameachi thought we forgot how he championed the governor forum during his tenure as a chairman of the forum, forcing the government of gej to share the fund? I remembered then the governors went to court to challenge the govt and the court declared the account illegal. Ngozi tried so hard to sustained the account but no way.
earlier he focus on his ministry better for all of us. as it is today, no minister is performing and Nigerians are really suffering

Your brain dey sharp. Your comment just reminded of the incident .

It was shared among the governor which was headed by you(Amaechi) and the 3 tiers of government
Question should be why did the governors decide to take the FG to court in order to have their share.
Somebody already posted the answer for you above but you must still argue

means amaechi ensured that was the eca account was shared between the Fg, SG and lg
The ECA was established and was to be shared among the three tiers but unfortunately the FG had been withdrawing from the account without giving the SG and LG their share and that was why the SG sued the FG.

Not true. According to NOI, OBJ left 43.13 billion USD and
the amount is a gross total of the CBN external reserve, excess crude account and FG savings.
https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/55bn-got-wrong-fg-replies-obasanjo/amp/

Respect to Yar'adua. He is one of the most respected presidents we have had so far. But then, we had so much revenue that the CBN external reserve rose from 31billion USD to 62b USD because oil was selling around 147usd per barrel. What then happened to the reserve after the Yar Adua's demise? What got it deplicted?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Subsidy payment, which is why Jonathan advocated for its removal in 2012...

But the end point is dating they took the fg to court and the funds was shared.which many of them used for election purpose so ameachi should keep quiet. He was part of it.

Mynd44:

The arguement that it was the governors' forum that made the FG share the money makes no sense cos

1. Did you bother to ask why the governors sued the FG? Was it not cos they found out that the FG was actually making withdrawals from the ECA that theu decided to share it?

2. What did the FG do with their share of the money? Where was it uses?

Rotimi Amaechi should better not say a word because he is nothing better, what about the kangaroo project he did in rivers state call the mono-rail that was dead on arrival, and wasted $400 million or more and still did not achieve anything.

Obasanjo is a useless old man that was not fit to be the president.

The June 12 that was reclaimed, obasanjo wasted the opportunity.

He could not construct neither roads nor bridges.

He could not build monumental and legendary projects despite the big sum of money the country got.

Bevista:
My research shows that OBJ left ~$42B in the reserves. This grew to ~$62B in September 2008, thanks to oil price hitting an ATH of $147/bbl in June 2008.
---
Unfortunately, the Global Financial Crisis had set in and oil price began a steady downtrend, getting as low as $38/bbl in 2009. It became imperative for the CBN to use part of the reserves to defend the Naira.
---
By the time late president Yar'Adua took Ill and was flown to Saudi Arabia in Nov 2009, the Reserves stood at ~$42B (avg oil price ~$75/bbl). By the time GEJ was sworn in as president in May 2010, the reserves had gone lower to ~$38B (avg oil price was $76/bbl). By Dec 2010, the reserves had gone even lower to ~$32B. By this time, the average oil price had gone up to ~$91/bbl. By the time GEJ left office in May 2015, the reserves stood at ~28B (avg oil price ~$50/bbl).
---
As at November 2017, the FR is standing at ~$35B (up by ~$7B). This not withstanding the fact that 2017 avg oil price is same as at 2015 avg price (~$50/bbl). When one considers that oil price initially went as low as $28/bbl in Jan 2016, then this feat becomes even more commendable.
---
The above figures are facts freely available on the Internet.
How exactly does this savings affect the life of the average Nigerian? I mean the reserves are riding but so are the prices of goods and services with no significant increase in take home pay. So most times when these guys brag about how much they are able to save I don't understand why the average citizen should be excited
