the crimes being commited these days leave me frightened. Even satan would deny tempting those crazy basterds into doing such! We need to seriously pray for the nation as power and electoral reforms are not our major issues, but security. |
Re: Benin City; Armed Men Invade Labour Ward by Fhemmmy: 4:21pm On Apr 08, 2010 |
adrian5: If there was light and electoral reforms, that will spill into secured society, cos many will be with jobs, and opportunities will be within the reach of many. However, i will not try to underestimate what a secured society could do |

Re: Benin City; Armed Men Invade Labour Ward by Fhemmmy: 7:25pm On Apr 08, 2010 |
ifele: Great idea, but with poverty the best friend to many, i dont see it working, cos the trained men would be the one to hire their weapons out for the night to put food on the table at home |

Re: Benin City; Armed Men Invade Labour Ward by maedan(f): 7:58pm On Apr 08, 2010 |
otukpo: Oh my dayzz !!!! But truly this is despicable!! This has become a lawless state (nation) where criminals do and undo without fear of getting caught or even hunted down. No one will seriously get to the bottom of this, I can bet on it. |
Re: Benin City; Armed Men Invade Labour Ward by Fhemmmy: 8:00pm On Apr 08, 2010 |
maedan: Like the govt and the security officials give a damn? they will only care if their family is affected . . . or all of a sudden, if America start asking questions |
Re: Benin City; Armed Men Invade Labour Ward by maedan(f): 8:05pm On Apr 08, 2010 |
Fhemmmy: They do give a damn, I mean look at how concerned even we are. But the police can do nothing without the proper training and infrastructure etc. With what will they use to investigate? This is not CSI, they can't trace any one and they certainly won't catch them, unless by some freakish twist of fate one of the robbers gives himself up and confesses! |
Re: Benin City; Armed Men Invade Labour Ward by Fhemmmy: 8:06pm On Apr 08, 2010 |
maedan: So from all you said, that means we saying same thing, the GOVT dont care at all, cos if they do, they will make security to be important and be within the reach of all citizen |

Re: Benin City; Armed Men Invade Labour Ward by ozenyen(m): 9:38pm On Apr 08, 2010 |
I wonder if the hospital was supposed to be guided like a bank. Shame to those robbers who have lost a sense of pity. As if it is not enough to be bed ridden you now have to be faced with AK47 somebody tell me what is Nigeria turning into? |

I visited Benin City for the first time in 2005 and was really ashamed of the city and Edo State in general. My dad is Edo but I don't speak the language My dad insisted I had to spend some time with family in Edo State and I agreed. The roads in the ancient city were in a very bad shape and I noticed that there was not much order in the place. My aunt [ Dad's junior sister ] took me around the city and I was just speechless with the state of underdevelopment there. So I'm not surprised that armed robbers are having a field day in Benin. Oshiomhole has to do something fast before things spiral out of control. And how can the police ensure security when they are badly paid ? When will Nigerian leaders start to fix the country's problems? Time is running out on us. Hmn. www.vibes-extra..com |
