he is erecting a sign post of people who haven't contributed to the growth of the state. rubbish

Rochas and tastelessness are five and six.
Imagine the quality of road!
Imagine the quality of road sign!!

Who makes road signs with 6by6 hollow blocks? No longevity in mind.

In as much as i oppose okorocha vehemently, this is actually wrong , it should be a thing of honour having another president(previous) commission one of our roads.. am sure Mandela(ibm) would be celebrated for doing same.

But the onus does not lie with commissioning but the longevity of the road.

Na everything them dey commission for the country?
Ordinary road them go commission.
Street lights dem go commission.
Spending money on commissioning

Look at the quality of the road where the signpost is. Very substandard a characteristic of his projects during his reign. Why won't imolites destroy it, u forcefully killed and removed them from the market, then u ban like in a state where there are very few cars. Imolites are fed up with him, and he has killed any chance APC had in IMO.

You are very correct, Owerri town has the worst roads in the SE. He uses hollow blocks to do road project with barrow and shovel. Don't be deceived by anyone. cool

Look at the shabby dirty substandard roads. I am very sure they used hollow blocks to do the roads cheesy

Angelanest:
Reports have it that Imo residents have destroyed the Ellen Sirleaf Johnson road sign which was built by governor Rochas Okorocha in Owerri, the state capital - in a bid to show their displeasure with it.

The Liberian president, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, was honored last year November with a statue and a signpost by Imo state governor; Rochas Okorocha. Just like Jacob Zuma of South Africa and Nana Ado Akufo of Ghana, the Liberian leader was inducted in the Imo Hall of Fame, received Imo Merit Award and her statue also unveiled in her honour.

This did not go down well with many Nigerians especially imolites who heavily criticized and condemned the governor for honoring foreign leaders and "doing less" for his people in Imo state.

Now it appears some citizens have made their threats real by destroying the signpost.

The other statues are located at the Ikemba Ojukwu Square which is heavily guarded.
