“Better late than never“, so goes the popular saying.

Admittedly, one thing that the Governor Ambode-led government of Lagos state has been criticized for is the neglect of roads in most parts of the state.

The administration has received not a few criticisms for the deplorable conditions of the roads in the city. Roads in Lagos are characterized by all sizes of potholes – sometimes craters-size potholes. It has made driving experience in Lagos so unpleasant.


Thankfully, it appears the Government – despite the fact that his days are numbered as the state administrator – has decided to go on campaign to restore the roads to a state of relative dignity.

Across the state, rehabilitation works on roads are ongoing.

In Ambode's quest to destroy anything related to Fashola. Part of what made Fashola popular in Lagos was this fixing of road by direct labour( Works department), Ambode came in, sacked the head and either did not replace him, replaced him with a knuckle head or did not empower the new guy.

Ambode should borrow another $1B to fix roads in Lagos so that the incoming governor will only be saddled with loan interest and forget godfather!

Disaster

- after plying this area in the terrible state in March and April this year coupled with the Brown roof there, I concluded that APC is a disaster.

Fixing 1% of Lagos roads when 99% have been left in horrible state all through his tenure. Damage control when its too late.

Never seen the level of horrible roads in Lagos before.

Things were far better under Fashola.

Better late than never, Ambode is just realizing that end of governorship is not the end of political enjoyment. Fix those roads and continue doing the work of the party and be next in line for a juicy political appointment
