The Nyali Mall

Construction on The Nyali Mall shopping mall began on August 25th 2009 and is envisaged to last for a period of 14 months. The anticipated completion date is therefore November 2010.

Costa Marina Mall

[b]Situated in the heart of Mombasa City, this mall sits on 2 acres of prime land consisting of five floors of prestige shopping, restaurant, games and fun outlets with a full height Atrium, panoramic lifts and travelator access between floors.
The mall is designed to be fully air-conditioned, 24 hour electricity with underground and on-ground car park. Cafes, seating areas, indoor and outdoor landscaping and fun features are sited all around the Mall.
The second floor is an entertainment area and food court with a number of restaurants. There is an outdoor swimming pool at the back of the mall together with fast food outlets and cafes. Third floor consists of retail shops, with open space on the ground floor suitable for a supermarket. The mall is anticipated to open its doors in early 2011.

A walk that leads to the glass lantern. The glass lantern consists of shops, restaurants and bar joints that have a 360 degree view.
This first fully Western Style, multi-level Shopping Mall, Costa Marina is designed around an internal full-height 60 metre long Atrium rising from the Mall’s entrance, through the first and second floors, and right up to the glass roof.
Walkways around the Atrium are reached by 25 metre travelators rising the four metres between floors. Shops at every level have their shop fronts to the walkways. The Atrium, walkways and the shops are fully air-conditioned.[/b]

Malili Technopolis - I read of a very interesting article in the Business Daily in Nairobi and I have seen the plans posted somewhere on the internet. Does someone have more details on the plan? If you google Malili Technopolis you will see the plans. It is very, very impressive indeed.
