My problem in that saying, is how will someone who have live a life of sin commit so much atrocity, all of a sudden on his sick bed dying he remember to give is life to christ.. And he makes heaven.. Isn't that contradictory of what you sow you reap?

The words of the father to his eldest son in the parable of the Prodigal Son, sums it up.

No one knows tomorrow, so one shouldn't hope on that tactics because one might not have the opportunity to accept Jesus before the first death.
So the best is to accept Jesus Christ now.
