Bad pictures. Horrendous. Yes. However, a good number of people dreamt and still dream about fighting their way to this once Earth quaking citadel of learning. And they could and can not be there. It is easier to despise even atimes what life denied you for various reasons. Commentaries are nice when one considers different perspectives.

Just look at what you are saying, you have forgotten that most of the funds that are sent to these schools are looted first by the people allocating them then the chicken change is then cleared by some characters in the universities, so keep quiet, Brazil operates a free public university system but is it like this, countries like Germany have free public universities but are they like this. Was it not an auditor in a federal university that was said to have 'lost his sight' when it came down to investigating the financial activities of the school??!... What will it honestly cost even the poorest institutions to maintain or manage living quarters of students??! Like how much really??!...

If you are looking for some of the most hardened people in NIgeria, after the armed forces, the students are next. Only God knows how I managed to survive life in the hostel.

The place was dirty, jam-packed, ventilation was poor, No water during the day, beg bugs were on rampage, mosquitos nearly finished us. We had to buy fan in my room with our money, etc It was crazy.

Students aren't suppose to live this way, they aren't in concentration camp for goodness sake

Yet, some will claim they are naturally better administrators who could have made Nigeria better, as though they have made their states better and distinctive from the rest of the failed Nigeria.

The Supreme Court recently liberated their women to enjoy the rights that other women have been enjoying in Nigeria.

We are all useless as a people and a nation.


Go and read your constitution which is the foundation of all the problem. The reason why people blame Fulani is that they always kick against anything that will give people back their resources and right

You are funny...they have nothing to show for the little they get, what now makes you so sure they'd act well if they are well funded. It's a normal Nigerian thing, the more money they get, the more they embezzle.

When we( Chimamanda and my set were there, UNN was cool....I was highly disappointed when I went there last year after almost a decade of graduation! And it isn't the fault of UNN students wholly, the school is seriously underfunded.

Awolowo Hall in OAU is good compare to this ooo grin

Nigerian public universities are in mess. Some of them refused to use the funds they received from the FG judiciously

federal government do give universities monies for maintenance but they end up doing nothing. What is the VC doing about it because he is waiting for embezzlement.

ASUU is on strike because of some of these things found in our institutions. FG need to act accordingly

Everyone keep blaming government but forgot that it is the work of the student to keep their living environment clean, most of us came out from different homes and most of our residents are as old as 50years yet why is it not as dirty as unsuka university

From what I see here. This, basically is as a result students' dirty behaviours.

Could you all see that even toilet papers used and painted with human feices (shit) is not thrown away or burnt? They store these dirty things, snap it in pictures alongside the dirty wc and are painting a bad picture against the school...

It will be very nice of more federal projects in the SE will bring embarrassment to Nigeria...

Everything is caused by the FG. There are appropriate bodies in that school that can't account for the little they get. Do you know how much they generate alone?

Schools in Nigeria generate money one way or the other, even if what is generated isn't enough or the school is underfunded, the question to be asked is " where are the little being generated/received"?

Nyamiri people only focus on the development and mistake that is happening in lagos state while they leave their own regional affairs unattended to...they to see lagos as a State to be conquered by all means...if it is even possible for some of them, they will be claiming Lagos State as their native State...
By the UNESCO standard, the school should be locked down until necessary action be taken by the school authority...
UNN used to be among the pride of the University in the country but has turned to a total mess because of poor management....what a shame!

The way those toilets are reminds me of when I studied at UNIBEN and resided in the Hall 3 and Hall 4. The toilets looked like that.
