You have seen one. This is the best Atiku people could come up with concerning Jonathans assets:

(i) Lexus Jeep worth N18 million claimed to have been acquired through savings in 2004. Verification reveals that the Jeep was a gift collected in contravention of the CCB Act of 1990. Same for BMW 7351 Series bought in 2005 worth N5.5 million;

(ii) . . . Seven Bedroom Duplex acquired in 2001 worth N18 million at Otuke Ogbia LGA, Four Bedroom Duplex acquired in 2003 worth N15 million at Goodluck Jonathan Street, Yenegoa;
Five Bedroom Duplex - acquired in 2003 worth N25 million at Citec Villas, Gwarimpa II – Abuja.

There are no hidden billions, the man is being honest.

I DISLIKE THE FACT THAT ITS CRIMINALS THAT SURROUND GEJ.

BUT I SEE THAT ALL THOSE CRITICIZING HIM ARE DOING SO OUT OF HATRED FOR GEJ COS THEY FAIL TO SEE THE EVIL IN THEIR OWN CANDIDATES THEY TRY TO SELL.

AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, I CAN CONDEMN GEJ FOR WHATEVER REASON, BUT NONE OF THE OTHER CANDIDATES DESERVE MY VOTE.
Re: Why I Own No Foreign Property – Jonathan by jovi: 5:23pm On Mar 02, 2011
Good talk, Gbomo Jomo, The main issue is why?, why does he not have an account?, I have an account abroad.it helps me pay my membership fees and other stuff, I have not stolen money, having an account or house abroad does not equate to stealing money esp. if your hands are clean,
This is more like childish talk, We are not children and he shd tell us more on what he would do if elected, and what did he do when people around him were stealing?, did he keep quite?, then he is part of the crime,

He is a good man, but not a leader, simple, but im sure theres a reason God has brought him to where he is now, to start with the Northerners even in their wildest dreams would never have believed a South-South person would ever rule this country, So I say, He may not have the leadership qualities, but the Bible is filled with such that God has used for a purpose,

Democracy dividends CANNOT be obtained through ACN - Autocrats Congress of Nigeria- old men imposing their wives, kids, in-laws, relations and maybe even househelps on their party members. shocked shocked shocked
Progress CANNOT come from ACN- Alliance for Corruption in Nigeria with Tinubu as their leader and Achike Udenwa as frontliner. angry angry angry
Shine your eyes(and ask your folks & friends do likewise), identify, scrutinise, select and mobilise support for your national and state assembly legislator candidates on individual merit basis NOT on party basis.
Re: Why I Own No Foreign Property – Jonathan by Tokotaya: 5:54pm On Mar 02, 2011
GEJ seems a good person. But he lacks the character trait of a leader to solve Nigeria's huge problems. I agree totally with the submission of Gbomo Jomo or sb else above that GEJ is too passive. We need someone who is bold, who can stare anyone down and take a decision in the interest of NIgeria not caring whose ox is gored. GEJ is not that person. Let's pray more. God will give us that person.
Re: Why I Own No Foreign Property – Jonathan by tlops(m): 6:11pm On Mar 02, 2011
the reasons are flimsy to say the least.

Buhari does not own any money abroad neither does he record sudden increase in wealth despite being well positioned.

so GEJ should sell something new to us. its not a bad thing to own a foreign acct, but the source of the money is what makes it look bad.

Eziachi:

Yes Ibime, Udenwa worked with OCC but before that he worked for Monier through my father's connection with Sam Mbakwe. A Peugeot504 in the late 1970s/80s can hadly be called a  modest for an average person, as cars are bought brand new then.
Apart from his late brother Anthony, his uncle Chief Vincent Uba Ego was the second richest man in the Old East after Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu. He sponsored the political campaign of most old Orlu politicians in the 50s/60s.  Men like my father, R.I Uzoma, K.O Mbadiwe. So Udenwa came from a very wealthy family.

He is also married to Olumba royal family in Orlu, also very wealthy.

I knew he bought his home in the U.K while he was governor, something I very much objected, becuse it was probably bought with stolen public money. The guy is my blood relative. My son cannot marry his daughter, that is how close our blood relationship is, so I should know one or two things about him than an outsider.

Rich and popular family, YES, Royal family, NO, I am from Orlu, a stone throw from the Olumbas

Whether GEJ has foreign property or not is irrelevant. I don't know why he is dwelling on that.

It makes no sense.

It means nothing.

God bless u, He can keep foreign accounts if the money s made legally, who cares,

Re: Why I Own No Foreign Property – Jonathan by stildude(m): 11:58pm On Mar 02, 2011
And those were the only things that you noticed about GEJ's administration? I bet Fashola should be said to be anti-developmental because Doctors went on strike (Patients died), Roads that were Supposedly repaired by him crumbled right infront of you , Mushin is yet to look like VI, Criminals still rob and assassinate people in Lagos state etc?
What is the use of you judging GEJ because the SSS, Policemen and Military men that he deployed failed to do their jobs well?
What do you want him to do about Ogun, when Ogun citizens have the right to sue their government to court for that action? You think it is just easy for GEJ to enter a state and control things. He is not a dictator.
Why are you blaming him for no development, when the excess crude oil account money that you were blabbing about was taken out, shared to states, and ministries for some developments? You seem to forget that Nigeria wanted to burn because that Money was untouched, and Nigerians questioned the need of keeping the money, calling it illegal in some cases.
What sort of development do you want to see within 9 months that have not been done? You'd be senseless to be expecting Nigeria to develop within 9 months.
Did GEJ tell you that he is a Magician? Is it even not in front of you that power supply rose to 3,800 and 4,000 MW recently due to billions of naira
investments in t he sector?
What else do you want him to do about Jos that he is not doing?
How does calling ACN Politicians rascals amount to calling Western region's leaders rascals?
Why OBJ with all his gra gra no arrest IBB and others, despite the overwhelming evidence that he had? You think it is just easy to arrest people without adequate evidence. It is not his duty to arrest people. He is not despotic. It is the duty of the security men to do that. And they arrested people for that bomb blast. You are definitely not satisfied because the people you want in jail were not arrested abi? GEJ will not do that for you.

You are not being fair. You would not even achieve anything in 2 years, apart from stealing money obviously, if you were given the same chance. You think say na moi moi to develop Nigeria. You seem not to know how deep the rot in Nigeria is.

If it is ever wise to say someone has spoken my mind. Now is the time.

Why is it that it is the Internet Nigerians that are the loudest voices in opposition to GEJ?

Could it be that they hate this country and are trying to encourage it's downfall?

You will not succeed.

And you got into my line of thought

This empoty GEJ or whatever you call him, all his 12years experience in democracy and well positioned through out, what can he point out that he;s achieved? What?
He can only promise and fail, what does his foriegn account got to do with governing nigeria well? They said he gave fake details about his property 2007, he didnt defend that, His wife was caught with 400million dollars in 2007, he didnt defend that.
We need somebody that can turn empty ground with just one seed to a forest!!! not somebody that will be telling us , it is well, i will soon do it.
Buhari had proven himself before when he was military head of state, he brought back discipline, he brought integrity, he brought sanity before.
Ribadu stated EFFC from scratch and made it an international organisation.
WHAT CAN GEJ point to? PROMISES, even as a Governor? What has his own people benefitted from him while he was handling the state? No vision, no focus, he cant even talk straight if its not a prepared statement, a whole PHD holder, asking for question before debate, atleast primary school students go for debate and excel from it. He should go to HELLLLLLLLL
Buhari/ Bakare for a change. Now is the time!!!
Dont complain again if u vote for GEJ , and you're sacked next year because the economy is down, He finished the whole Oil resevred within 9months without any meaningful project.
Now he's taking us back to IMF, FOOL
Re: Why I Own No Foreign Property – Jonathan by alldone(m): 11:30am On Mar 03, 2011
uptil now, we dont hvbe better candidate. let us give him a chance and if he fail we would vote him out.
i believe he is sincere. i also want you to know that president seat is not an easy one, you may condem him but it is not easy.
ask IBB he called it the devil's sit.

others will learn for atlest 2yrs before trying,
GEJ all the way.

Re: Why I Own No Foreign Property – Jonathan by larrysonic: 12:38pm On Mar 03, 2011
There is something I want u to know about the politics and the politicians in Nigeria. First thing is, if you really want to succeed or become leader in Nigeria politics of today you have to be diplomatic, deplomatic in the sense that you must keep your mouth on most of the good agenda you have for the country. Why do I say this, most of the pple we have at the corridor of power are corrupt including ACN leaders and once they know your agenda will affect them, they will not allow you to get there except by divine intervention. Holy Bible says: he that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life.

For example Awolowo didnot get there because of his good agender.
Abiola was denied also because he spoke out his agenda. If Obasanjo did not do like mumu he will not get there.

Secondly, GEJ is in d mist of wolf, snake and scorpion, so he needs d wisdom of God to survive and breakthrough.

I still believe if GEJ is allowed he will perform." Eni to ba fe mu obo gbodo se bi obo". He has a good agenda for this country. Remember he has only spent 9mths in power in which his government is using to prepare and plan fully for the next for 4 years. He is not a magicians, remember it is easy to destroy than to build.

Let us give me a chance, it is not easy to rule a country like Nigeria of multiple culture and belief. Ask those that have married or handling positions they will tell you is not easy to lead human being.

THATS YOU PEOPLE'S SOFT TOUCH, WAS HE NOT THE ONE YARADUA ELECTRICITY TO HANDLE SINCE THEY RESUME 2007? WAS HE ABLE TO FIX IT? EVEN WHEN YARADUA DIED, WHICH MEANS HE HAS MORE POWER TO FIX THINGS, WHERE ARE WE NOW!

ABEG GEJ NA WASTE OF TIME
