This is a directive from the Pensions Commission as LAGOS STATE seeks funding from Pensions to execute projects - By Law if you are not paying part-emolument into the National Pensions Scheme, you cannot access it for any reason - what has been going on in the past is that Lagos State was dipping into Tax-payers money to sustain the LIFE pension for former Lagos State officials especially Tinubu - but because they cannot access the much needed loans from the Pension pool unless they cancel the illegal pensions to Ex-officials, this is the reason cousin Jide is doing taking this action - it has no bravery or boldness to it - It is just a matter of if you want help from the Pensions pool - cancel Tinubu's life pensions scheme SIMPLE

These APC Bergedorfs and BUHARISTS will come here and start salivating over the actions of a nincompoooop

Absolutely not - this a statutory requirement by the pensions comission - you cannot be accessing pensions when you are not contributing your part. Tinubu has never contributed and so have the former governors and officers - it is your tax that is being used to pay ex-governors pensions not the pension fund. If cousin Jide needs to access this source of funds to restore Lagos.. he cannot escape it. Stop salivating - it is a requirement not a bold move by the weasel cousin Jide

Enugu former governors, deputies to earn pensions for life


All former governors and deputy governors in Enugu State would, henceforth, receive pensions for life, according to a law passed by the Enugu State House of Assembly on Tuesday.

The development followed the amendment of the ‘gubernatorial pensions bill, 2015 and other matters connected therewith’, to provide for lifetime pensions for former governors and deputy governors, including those from the ‘Old Anambra’ and ‘Old Enugu’ eras.
The law, however, would not be applicable to any governor or deputy governor who was impeached.

Before the bill was passed into law at a plenary session on Tuesday, Leader of the House, Mr. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu, noted that the amendment became necessary to accommodate all former governors and deputy governors in the state, from the days of the Old Anambra State.

Those that would benefit from the development include Chief Jim Nwobodo, Chief Okwesilieze Nwodo, Dr. Chimaraoke Nnamani, and Sullivan Chime, as well as their respective deputies.

Could this have been proposed without Tinubu's input and awareness? not likely! The whole idea may just be how to find a quick fix to his already battered image, repulsive public perception and dwindling political fortune and influence ahead of 2023. It could also be a way to spite or get rid of Ambode who is more to them like a bad penny that keeps coming back or a leprous finger that refuse to be severed, since as a former gov. he also share in this their largess. Unfortunately, to get rid of a tree permanently most times requires taking it off by it's root. One or two of this possibility may suffice!
