For me it's rather too early to name the player of the century especially considering the fact that we have not even gone half way into it. You never can tell the kind of wonderful and talented footballers that will grace the world of foot in the remaining part of this century which is the greater part of it. Put it to probability, there are higher chances that more amazing talents will spring up in the next 8 decades than we have come to see in the past 2 decades. There is still a lot to behold, better days are ahead for football, the beautiful ones are not yet born.

Uncle... changing clubs have ruined most good players career. Especially when its across different leagues. Go ask sanchez, Di maria, mesut ozil etc. Versatility and durability is a yardstick to measure greatness in football and your messi is lacking therein..(don't quote me wrong, he is unarguably one of the best, the best to some people too. But when you critically consider statistics, he only performed in Barcelona. The only second option he had is in the national team and we both know how much he has done.
