Even in advanced economies, they still have their old towns. I've been to the one in Rome and that of Baku in Azerbaijan.
So instead of making it stand, you want me to demolish the building developed by my Great Grand Father in the 1880s to prove what exactly?

Are you aware that London is a city that has been in existence for centuries? Are you aware that most parts of London were demolished over the years to give way to modern buildings? There is a difference between reserving a few old buildings (that are well maintained) to serve as monuments or museums as against having a proliferation of rundown mud houses that litter everywhere and deface a town.

Ok, according to you but I'm sure 90% of the people that have been to both cities will not agree with you.
How can you say the roughest part of Ekiti is paradise to Uyo. haba bro, this is the first nonsense have ever heard Man.
Yes Uyo just started developing 2005 I think but that doesn't mean it isn't far better than the eyesore Ekiti you just posted, if I post Uyo pictures now ba, even people go dey ask if this is part of Nigeria. Please don't ever do that again I'm befgin goy
I know Uyo very well and it's beautiful.
Much of Ado are old Town, but they're decent habitations. These are places that have been standing for many decades, probably before the first building with iron sheets in the entire Akwa Ibom state.
Had it been I'm available right now, I would have volunteered to go take pictures of dirty places in Uyo, and you do that of Ado and compare. These are places I know very well.
I repeat, Ado may not be beautiful, but most places that have been there for ages still look decent.

Bet y Osun is an all round beautiful place with very simple and nice people, not to mention exceptionally CHEAP as per very affordable cost of living compared to Lagos. Not to mention the quietness and SERENITY. You can't go wrong with living in Ile-Ife, Ilesha or Oshogbo. The only things I don't like is maybe like their weather can be extreme, as in when the sun shines, it is extreme, and when it's harmattan, the cold is extreme etc. And then I don't like the cultural aspect wey dem traditionalists carry culture for head like gala. Other than that, Osun is very nice.

But bro let's be honest... Abakaliki to ain't really developed. Abakaliki and ado falls in the same category of development. I have visited abakaliki I'm not trying to discredit it but that place too is so much underdeveloped just few areas are ok
my guy I doubt that when and which year did you visit Abakaliki

Nothing is wrong with mud houses except we don't appreciate ourselves. Mud houses are as cool inside as air-conditioned concrete houses and can be modified to long lasting standards. In every city of Nigeria there are slums with batchers, plank and nylon bag houses which are worse than mud.

Don't get it twisted, mud houses is never our culture. That our forefathers built mud houses is because that's what was available to them. Humans are dynamic in nature, we evolve as time goes by and take up new and better ways of doing things while discarding redundant ones. There was a time New York and London were filled with wooden houses but now, they've been replaced with skyscrapers and modern condos while only a few such wooden houses are used to serve as monuments or museums. However, I get your point of using mud houses for people who can't afford to live in decent houses.

Namibia is a beautiful country, particularly their city of Windhoek
Namibia is a totally beautiful country with beautiful people. The average Namibian girl is an 8/10 natural beauty, not like the average 9ja girls with fake beauty, fake hair, fake lashes, fake everything and fake personalities. Sometimes I wonder if that country is truly African, because they live, behave and run their country's system like Western Countries. And their economy is SUPER impressive $1 USD = 15 Namibia dollars. God punish all Government thieves that destroyed the economy of Nigeria with their endless stealing and corruption.

Ughelli grin grin

Asaba is not better than Ado.

Can you drive through dbts - orchid Hotel road whenever it rains.

Can you drive freely along Ogbeogonogo Market that block the road in the heart of the state capital?

Please don’t even compare Asaba with Ado!! Ughelli is far better than Ado in all ramification.. Should we talk about infrastructural development, every village and town in Ughelli is tarred..

You didn't read me well. The entire old City of Baku is left untouched, not few old buildings. Same goes for that of Rome.
My Great Grand Father, Grand Father and Father's houses are still standing in my hometown as I speak. We can only renovate and make sure it's still standing. Demolishing it and building an entirely modern building on the space erase their legacy.
Old houses in the South West should be renovated, but I don't support demolishing them.

Uyo is a thousand times beautiful than Ekiti and it doesn't matter which started developing first after all Nigeria started developing before Dubai, yet now Dubai is a million miles better than Nigeria, that's same between Uyo and Ekiti.

I can't compare Ughelli with Ado, I don't lie about where I have never been to.

Let's compare Asaba where I have been to.

A state capital like Ado.
Does Asaba has good roads?

Are there mud houses with red roofs in the heart of Asaba?

With the oil revenues that Asaba is getting, is there anything on ground to show for it?

Yes, Ado is a beautiful place. I have been there before like 3 times or so. But if I want to relocate outside Lagos to another part of the South West, then it is either, Ogun or Oyo or Osun. Outside SW, if na North, Bauchi or Kano or Nasarawa. If na SE, Anambra or Enugu. If na Niger Delta, Delta or Akwa Ibom, and if na Africa, Namibia, or Ethiopia or Rwanda. If na the world, Norway, America or Switzerland.

The inner streets of Ado Ekiti are bad.

The traffic on Adebayo-Housing road on a daily basis due to narrow and bad road is killing.

bet am not lying na. I once dated a Namibian girl for over a year, never for once did I hear "give me" this or that, u know like the average Nigerian girls that are typical gimme gimme beggars. It was the most romantic experience of my life till today. No crazy nagging, no manipulations, no beggar attitude, no low self esteem of all these physical alterations just to create a fake beauty, they are very comfortable in their own skin and proud of their natural beauty. They are so romantic, so submissive to their men, so encouraging and positive, even if you disagree, there won't be gbas gbos, just normal female tantrums etc. If you're doubting me, take 2 of your "brothers", let one of them marry a Nigerian girl and let the second one marry a Namibian girl, then let's see which one will be the best Sister in-law in the world. As we never travel comot from the south make we continue dey look pictures, but mehn I don promise myself to visit owerri.

One of the few honest and unbiased opinion I'm seeing in this thread.
