Well different strokes. I remember when all my friends where yoruba babes, another yoruba friend ( guy ) gave an advice that he saw my interest in yoruba babes but that i should just be very cautious to choose a wife who is 1. An IJEBU or 2. Any other yoruba lady that was trained in LaGOS Island. He gave some reasons though(make i no too talk). He said all others were ok but i should exercise caution with the above mentioned. |

From what I've read so far on this thread, I discovered that 90% of people that replied to the topic are Jebusite that is why they are all supporting the thread, Let me come with my own point about them, talk of being a good wife material, they score Zero because when you talk of good wife material, you are talking about those who cares for their husband / kids especially in preparing a good meal for them but Jebusites are no where to be found in this aspect, give them 5k to cook just a dinner, they will spend N700 to prepare that their native soup called (Egusi Ijebu) which is combination of a lot of water with few egusi, peper and some fishes but in a real Yoruba land the best egusi soup must contained all sort of fishes/meats/begetable etc and not watery type, there must be some seed (egusi yiyi) inside the soup. (2) Also in another area Jebusites are always in opposite with their husband's family, they don't appreciate it when their husband families are coming around but they prefer only theirs, (3) They normally kill their husband once he becomes rich in order to inherit hsi properties (4) They are party freek (5) They find it difficult to spend even for their own needs talkless of someone else and they called it manager (6) Talk of faithfulness to their husband, they alwaays fail woefully, ask any Yoruba apart from Ogun state what their parents use to tell them about Ijebus especially when its comes to marriage, espceailly people from Osun, Ekiti, Ondo etc, Ijeubs are very cheap, especially when they see you spraying money in a party meeeeeeen you don catch them finish, I experienced Ijebus when I was in Ago Iwoye, they are not that accomodative, friendly but hostile , ask any student around that side, but one thing abt them is that they are very good to hand out with, infact for this thread not to be bore, let me stop here until another day, |

jas_o: I disagree with what some forumers disclosed here about ijebu. there is a different btwn ijebu and remo, basically ijebus are people starts from Odogbolu down to waterside all to ijebu igbo and its surrounds. Remo is not ijebu i hope people are cleared with that clue. Ijebu and Remo are the same people... We belong to the same larger Ijebu land, from parts of Lagos - to parts of Ogun state... |
Re: Ijebu Girls Are The Best Wife Material by Nobody: 3:26am On Oct 03, 2012 |
ono: I spent a large number of my childhood years growing up in all of Ijebu land - from Ijebu-Ode to Ikenne, Sagamu to Ilisan-Remo, Odogbolu to Ago Iwoye. Ibafo, Ijebu-waterside, Mamu, Ogbere, Omu-Ijebu, Atiba, to name a few. I should add Ijebu-Ife is a cool place. Ijebu-Igbo is a local govt area in Ogun State. Thanks brother!! Add merchants to the accolades - old money and new money, we've got both... We controlled the coastline of the Bight of Benin with out Itsekiri cousins during the slave trade as well... You need to get yourself a decent Ijebu woman - our women are arguably one of the most beautiful women in Nigeria... |
