fstranger3: It is a bit sad. No wonder any time there is wahala Northerner wants to turn 'em into suya meat. As I've said earlier, arrogance is a terrible disease. And in a place like Nigeria, dangerous too |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by AljUche: 10:10pm On Apr 08, 2011 |
Andre Uweh: ha ba andre i do not go around asking people what ethnic group they are from but from their names and dress sense i can tell if he is igbo or northerner/yoruba now i am speculating that the population of yorubas are more than igbo becuase of various reasons 1.) they have muslim names 2.) they have 2 states in the north 3.) most doctors in the north are mostly of yoruba/hausa extract 4.) in densely populated markets they sell clothes eg lace etc also igbo are easlier from their names 1.) specialist 2.) civil servant 3.)traders 4.) some are even surgeons and co so it all depends on the point of view |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by fstranger3(m): 10:10pm On Apr 08, 2011 |
ekt_bear: That was funny. Seriously, living in Nigeria, you'd think there were only two ethnic groups, Yorubas and the Hausas. But, on NL, it is as if Igbos are the only people in Nigeria. And its mostly from people who have no idea what they are talking about, unfortunately. :::SMH::: |

HABA, WHY DO YOU PEOPLE LIE JUST TO PROVE A POINT? HOW CAN ANYBODY SAY YORUBA ARE MORE IN THE NORTH THAN IGBOS, I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN KADUNA AND MY FATHER OWN A SCHOOL AND HOTELS IN KADUNA(MY FAMILY IS VERY INFLUENTIAL IN THE NORTH, WE EVEN SPECK HAUSA THAN IGBO). THEIR ARE WAY MORE IGBOS THAN YORUBA IN THE NORTH, INFACT IN KADUNA THE ONLY PLACE YOU WOULD SEE A LOT OF YORUBAS ARE IN A REMOTE AREA IN KAKURI(STILL IGBOS OUT NUMBER THEM THEIR). EVERYWHERE IN THE NORTH IGBOS OUT NUMBER THE YORUBA INCLUDING JOS, THE REASON WHY PEOPLE MIGHT THINK ITS EVEN IN JOS IS BECAUSE MOST IGBOS STAY IN THE SUBURBAN AREA(BECAUSE OVER TIME THEY HAVE MADE MONEY AND MOVED FROM THE CROWNED AREA TO THE RICH AND QUIT NEIGHBORHOOD JUST LIKE ROCHAS OKOROCHA WHO MADE HIS MONEY IN JOS). I DONT GET INVOLVE WITH ALL THESE DIRTY POLITIC BUT DONT LIE JUST TO PROVE YOUR POINT |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by AljUche: 10:45pm On Apr 08, 2011 |
pcmadu: bros, just because you see a man who you think to be fulani, kanuri, or hausa does not mean he is any of the above he might be a northern yoruba he his name might be IBRAHIM MOHAMMED etc and dress like an hausa/fulani he might even be speaking hausa but ask he might still be yoruba or nupe or even igala we are not aguring about the igbo population which we all know is large but we are saying the yorubas int he north are more than the igbo |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by EzeUche(m): 10:49pm On Apr 08, 2011 |
pcmadu: Thank you for shedding some light. Even alj Uche is not from the North. He is from Yorubaland. |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by AljUche: 10:56pm On Apr 08, 2011 |
EzeUche: yes you are right, i am in yorubaland now but i have spent years in the north east and my father is a kanuri man so i know what i am talking about i was still in borno in this febuary |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by Dede1(m): 10:56pm On Apr 08, 2011 |
Alj Uche: Are you insinuating that Yoruba are turncoats? From the “suya meat” comment by ekt_bear and your post, it is safe to conclude Yoruba had hands in the murder of Igbo and other ethnicities of the south in northern region. Anyway, I do not need your utterances to realize it. |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by AljUche: 10:58pm On Apr 08, 2011 |
Dede1: no i am not saying anything as such all i am saying is that a yoruba man with such atributes can escape from a riot you also have to remember that northerners are killed as well in such riots so it is best we avoid them in all cases |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by pcmadu(m): 11:03pm On Apr 08, 2011 |
@ AJH UCHE BASED ON WHAT YOU SAID ITS VERY OBVIOUS YOU ARE NOT A NORTHERNER AND DONT CALL ME BRO BECAUSE I DONT KNW YOU(U R SURELY NOT AN IGBO MAN- U DERIVE JOY PUTTING IGBO PPL DOWN EVEN IF U HAVE TO LIE TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL). STOP HIDING YOUR ETHNICITY AND BE A MAN, IN FACT LET ME TEST UR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE NORTHERNER YOU CLAM TO BE, WHAT NORTHERN/STATE AND TRIBE ARE YOU FROM? NOW I SEE WHY YOUR FELLOW HAUSA BROTHERS ARE NOT IN SUPPORT OF YOU ON THIS ONE PLZ GROW UP |

Alj Uche: Alj Uche, Leave them, they will keep arguing with you because they are not interested in understanding what you are saying. and didn't remember that the yorubas are both xtains and Muslims. so how would you recognize a Yoruba Muslim in the north?? they might not be Hausa as most of you guys think |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by AljUche: 11:58pm On Apr 08, 2011 |
Βουκέφαλος: thank you, you understand what i am talking about na gode i would stop arguoing with them pcmadu: SMH if you can not listen to the voice of reasoning here then i am sorry for you when you said you lived in kaduna for years and so on, was it only igbos you noticed did you not notice hausa/fulani kanuri igala, nupe people now in the hausa fulani kanuri you saw, there are yorubas in the mist of them but you and i can not know until they tell us there identity unless you are claiming that igbos are more than fulanis in the north now well are you ? |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by pcmadu(m): 12:13am On Apr 09, 2011 |
^^^^^ their are other tribes but its very easy to knw the different, except you want to say the hausa/fulani are foolish not be able to differentiate their own ppl, by the way when yoruba man speck hausa its very funny(most hausa ppl always laugh at them) which you should also knw. I surly knw the diff between Hausa man from yoruba, if you dont knw, hausa ppl dont consider yoruba muslim as real muslim-- the kill them as well during any violent and thats a FACT I am an Mbaise man and trust me i knw the diff when a see my fellow Mbano, Owerri Okigwa or Orlu man(note that we are all neighbors in Imo State). The same apply to the hausa, sokoto man speck differently from a kano man Tell me where you are from so i can knw if u are really from where u clam you are, i am out to put you to shame You are not an hause/fulani man because those ppl are very proud of their heritage and culture as the igbos, they would never clam what they are not |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by redsun(m): 12:25am On Apr 09, 2011 |
But it is quite a glorious thing that d igbos are not ''majorly ''and officially playing part in d systematic destruction of a what is suppose to be a union. Who is proud of being barbaric and unproductive? |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by AndreUweh(m): 12:29am On Apr 09, 2011 |
pcmadu:He has never claimed Hausa Fulani but Kanuri. |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by Nobody: 12:29am On Apr 09, 2011 |
redsun: It's because they're not opportune to. I believe Igbos have been clamoring to be part of that majority of "being barbaric and unproductive". |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by redsun(m): 12:31am On Apr 09, 2011 |
True yorubas like d Kutis will dare not be proud to be associated with nigerian poliltics and politicians,d scums of d earth. |

pcmadu: I guess the Yorubas are supposed to feel hurt at this "revelation" an Igboman conjured out of his azz nuts. How is the revelation that Hausas-Fulanis laughing at Yoruba "accent" (from your ) an important aspect of the thread? |

Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by AndreUweh(m): 12:39am On Apr 09, 2011 |
Βουκέφαλος:There are so many religions in Yorubaland for example: Guru Masharaji fellowers, Grail Message, Eckenker, Hare Krishna, Islam, Christianity, Ifa etc. Nevertherless, a Yoruba is a Yoruba. Even if he goes to the Mosque with Hausas, that does not make him Hausa. The difference is very clear. |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by pcmadu(m): 12:39am On Apr 09, 2011 |
@ Ileke Idi I am not interested in your issue, Alh he clam that yoruba can blend with the hausa in the north without ppl knowing which is a lie @ Andre if he is kunuri fine, from what state and area. what does he knw about the north apart from what he reads |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by redsun(m): 1:02am On Apr 09, 2011 |
Ileke, simmer down. Some times emotions overshadows truth. And there can only be one and only truth. |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by Nobody: 1:09am On Apr 09, 2011 |
redsun:When the truth starts being discussed, by your counterparts on this thread, then I'll simmer down. pcmadu: How is it a lie? Do you have significant evidence, other than your opinion, to reject his claim? |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by pcmadu(m): 1:17am On Apr 09, 2011 |
I WAZ BORN AND RAISED IN THE NORTH, SO WHAT DO I NEED AS A PROOF? MY FATHER OWN A SCHOOL IN BARNAWA, KADUNA BELIEVE IT OR NOT, MY FAMILY ARE EVEN FRIENDS WITH BALAREBE MUSA AND EVEN SHERIKIN ZUAZU OF ZARIA(ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL TRADITIONAL RULER IN THE NORTH) IN FACT, I STILL HAVE MORE HAUSA FRIENDS THAN IGBO, |
Re: Yoruba The Golden Bride Of Nigerian Politics by Nobody: 1:20am On Apr 09, 2011 |
pcmadu: Nice family history. My mother owned 2 Hospitals in the North. And all you've previously posted are the opposite of what I've experienced. I have more Hausa-Fulani friends than Yoruba too. |
