With defections and cross carpeting, this may end up being a Pyrrhic victory for the minority parties. We have all seen cases where people cross to other parties to contest elections only to go back to PDP once they have been elected. Chukwumerije is a case in poin

Add Imo State Governor to your list. . .

I am actually surprised that some people are actually rejoicing about some of the non pdp candidates leading in today's pool. Its not yet time for celebration. Some of these other politicians are just an extension of pdp. Their morals and understanding of leadership is whacked. No matter the party they contest under, its business as usual

Please, are there any officially announced results by INEC. All the ones being passed around may be collating of a few polling units that people are using to make presumptions.

I want to be certain that PDP is crushed from our lives forever!

This is more than somebody defeats someone. It is about Nigerians could actually decide who lead them.

ACN has Fashola's administration to thank for a great part of this victory.
Most people want the Lagos achievements replicated in their states hence the mass votes for ACN.
Sai Fashola for Lagos and Sai Buhari for president. . . . . .Say RIP for PDP. grin
Re: National Assembly Elections, Saturday 9th April, 2011 by dremoney(m): 12:57am On Apr 10, 2011
@ Meine

There is absolutely no way PDP will have a majority in the next senate. 65 is required to have one.2007 rigging got them 83.

With results collated and declared at PU's so far,not even incredible hulk will deliver the senate to them this time around grin cheesy shocked

I am actually afraid to join in the celebration of the collapse of the PDP as I do not believe these PDP guys will give up without a fight. This is all too good to be true, but I prefer to wait till the official announcement so I won't be disappointed.

Very true!

Fact is, politics is a career so I don't expect a brand new Senate. The victory is for voters, if you don't perform we show you the way out. Simple!

And it is the fear of this fact that helps the people in developed countries. The MPs know they just have to perform or they'll be shown the way out.
