Take an insurance policy with investment savings, where you are guaranteed nice bonuses far better than any financial bonuses. Do insurance today @Custodian

Hi guys, I currently have a little above 5M in naira idle and I would want to put it into a business/trade. Something with good yield and room for expansion. Basically something I can grow. I don't want to invest it in bit coin/crypto or mutual funds ( i already have investment in those for easy liquidation).
every idea is welcome, thanks.

Please don't DM me.

If you have N5m and come to Nairaland for business ideas, I will take it that you are not serious because what works for A may not work for B.

Sit down and think about your interests or business opportunities around you, put in the work to learn and go from there. There is no such thing like a business you will put X amount to make Y amount. Every business has room for growth and good yield if you apply the right equation. The equation is why A grows while B fails. You are not even giving yourself a room for failure which is very likely.

Why not expand on whatever gave you the N5m in the first place.

I am here for the ideas and I am definitely going through every post. Reason I mentioned no one should DM me. It is still my decision to make at the end of the day.

Simply Divest; Spread your portfolio wisely.

Based on recent events you can hardly go wrong investing in food products.....as a starter stick to non-perishable and seasonal products like palm oil, crayfish and other dried products. Inflation is on the rise and these products have good liquidity and are sure to go up. You may have to invest in warehousing of some sort and logistics as well. Have a good sales plan to sell to retailers.

Secondly, invest long term in a business stock and/or buy shares in a promising local start up.

Lastly, real estate is the real mvp; liquidity might be an issue but valuation rise is largely certain. Also there are some interesting co-investment models for part-ownership of a property that can be put up for rent or shortlet. Just ensure such deals are genuine, legally binding, in a viable location and possibly insured.

I hope this helps.

Ibeju-Lekki is getting saturated and Epe is currently opening up. Use ₦1.5m to get just 1 plot in Epe. Once the Dangote refinery and petrochemical begin operation, you will not see ₦5m land in Ibeju or Epe area.

SHAMELESS PLUG: I sell land in both Ibeju and Epe, send a DM for more inquiry or to arrange an inspection.

I have a plug for hauling tiles, sanitary wares and building materials to various destinations across Lagos and beyond. If you can get a Sienna for 1.2 or 1.5 million, we can be partners. Daily projections is between 25k-40k.... Monday-Friday.

We will need a driver though. I happen to be gainfully employed in the company. I could have done it myself, but I just got the job, hoping to save up and run the business with my car.

Obviously not for the OP. He has idle funds which he wants to invest. His best bet is a stable and secure investment

You also ignored capital appreciation as the property value goes up with time and rent can be increased every 3 years or so.

Who will buy abaya 25k in Nigeria shows how daft and disconnected you are from reality of business.

PEOPLE COME HERE TO BUY ABAYA and selling at a ridiculous prices in Nigeria you can check IG for all I care.

Nike imitations of 75-100dirhams are available here and its selling for 24-28-30k in Nigeria.

You show a shallow mentality of business , so I got no time to explain further.

I just sent Abaya of 12k selling for 24k in ibadan of all places. Keep your fucking ignorance to yourself ok

I have two business ideas on. ground as regards the capital involved and a well written business plan to back it up.if u need it u can contact with number at signature.

*the first one is aquaculture, where u will rent pond for a year or 6 months n stock catfish (hybrid preferably) and maybe u want to sell at smoke size or table size depends on u but I can guarantee u that if u go for smoke size u are making your money after 3 months and if it's table size u will harvest after 6 months,if it's Abuja size u will harvest after 8 months.
with proper planning and management, mortality rate will b drastically reduced to the barest minimum.

*the second business plan is car wash, rent a space in a commercial area and drill a borehole or better still dig well and run pumping machine with an average of 2 tanks and washing machine, get some boys to work for u in which they will have a percentage per car washed.with that u will make daily money till u are tired of doing the business.

I will appreciate it if u can finance me with either or both of this business and I manage it for u at which we will both agree on a percentage and also get a lawyer to put everything in black and white to make sure both parties are safe.
I can use my nysc discharge certificate as collateral so u can b sure u are in safe hands
