In Nigeria, we practice quota system and federal character in selecting students and individuals into university admission, employment, appointment, etc...inorder to accommodate all tribes even those with very low marks, low performance and who ordinarily will not be qualified to be admitted. Meanwhile some of those from areas of high performance will not be selected because their quota is filled up depriving very intelligent students mostly from the SOUTH opportunity.
This cheating has been going on for long because the North is benefiting very well.
Now, again the same North wants to use population to continue to clinch to power to the detriment of the South. Meanwhile, the bulk of the money to run the country is from the South.
My suggestion is that it should be in the countrys Constitution that power alternate between North and South for justice, equity and fair play - large population of the North not withstanding just as the high intelligence of the Southerners was neglected for QUOTA SYSTEM to prevail.
