From a wailer whose ancestors lack history....ilorin today is still in control of Yorubas, but your people still remains third class citizens in Nigeria after sacrificing 3million flat-heads to Ogun and Sango grin

When my ancestors were building empire's yours were still in the jungle mating with gorillas.... grin

Mr historian,

Kindly explain to us how come there's an emirate in Ilorin and no where else in the west?
Where are the Gambari's from?
Where are the Saraki's from?

For your info those names have Hausa/Fulani roots hence their meaning?

Why Saraki and Gambari and not Adewale or Ayanwale?

Know your history and stop spewing thrash online.

Read more about the crusades of Uthma Danfodio and stop showing your folly online.

Lolzzz cheesy

Someone who has no history trying to teach me mine grin isn't this funny grin

Uthma Danfodio never in his lifetime ventured into Yorubaland for war, Afonja betrayal was what caused the ilorin saga and even so Yoruba still controls everything in ilorin and Kwara generally and that is fact.....

When you divide that by the 7 years it took Eastern region to generate the £11.4m then you will understand you defrauded the Western n should never ever be given the £2.7m in the first place.

E Don tey wey Yoruba nation de feed your papa even till now. No wonder Azikwe wanted to die here instead of the poverty stricken Eastern region.

You couldn't correct me. It was actually £23m from 1954 to 61. And if we should use the previous data, even it is was 7yrs, that would be £21m. A £2m shortchanged. So, it still doesn't look like South west monies were given to the east.

Zik is a persona non grata... We have lived through worst decisions and we are still thriving.

My grouse with your tribe is their lack of courage to face their worst fear which is the agenda of the Fulani's to keep them subjugated in perpetuity.

When the igbos were fighting for their collective destinies and you guys were busy calling them wailers...
Now the Yoruba Nation has unwittingly but surely began their wailing hence the uncomittal indifference from the Igbos.
The chicken has finally come home to roost.

The bitter truth is that Igbos and Fulanis are the same - nomadic in nature. They never stay in their region but disturb other regions. I have said it loud and clear that Igbos will suffer a lot if they get biafra because no nation will allow them to have the same access and freedom they are having now by the time they get their fake republic
So because Igbos and Fulani are the same that’s the reason your fathers were too dumb to confront the British?

Was Yoruba generated revenue allocated to Igbos?
How did this thread meant to be an eye opener on colonial dominance years turn to Igbo bashing to you yoruba boys?

A conquered tribe that willingly relinguished it's heritage(identity) and part of its patrimony (Ilorin readily comes to mind) to Uthman Dafodio during his crusades now has found their withered voice.
Tinubu still pays obeisance to the Fulani's with all Yoruba race in tow and you're here muttering gibberish.
Tivs & Jukuns resisted the jihadist like warriors, reason why they are still trying albeit futilely to annex their land till date but your cowardly tribe couldn't as much as put up a defence in defiance or even put up seeming show of pseudo bravery instead they capitulated like they always will and today the result is that Ilorin has an emirate and not an Oba.
Shame on your forbearers who have passed on that cowardly gene to you.
Osibanjo can't even let out a whimper of resistance even when he is obviously treated poorly... Recall how Atiku resisted Obj (a retired Gen) but your Prof can't do that. Yoruba's will always seek the validation of their Fulani masters before they become anything worthwhile in the Nigeria of today.
I would rather remain a proud 5%er than be the weeping baby of a ruthless Fulani task master from Futa Jelon!

Have you forgotten that ordinary Igala a minority tribe colonised your forefathers and sold them as slaves?

Even in that your tiny south east Igala still live on the lands they took from your wimpy forefathers, I even heard rumors that the governor of Anambra is an Igala man

Even Asari Dokubo an Ijaw man bragged about how Ijaw sold Igbo as slaves and your elders couldn't do anything other than beg.

If any tribe in Nigeria want to slander Yoruba about cowardice it is not Igbo, you are descendants of slaves that got colonised by a minority tribe lol

Coward Omonile calling himself lord... Your mumu is eternal. Na the mumu gene Awolowo and co passed down to you and your ilk that I blame.

No part of Igbo territory is in the hand of the enemy.

Try installing an Oba in Ilorin if Sultan of Sokoto won't come for your entire race..hahahahahaha.

Meagre?. You must be a joke.
• How much was the cost of UNN at the time?
• How much was used to complete a housing estate in the eastern region?
• What was the budget for Education in the Eastern region at the time?
up to £2.7m?

That is why they have the smallest landmass in Nigeria.Even Benin kingdom took them as slaves and founded Onitsha for them. The brits called them out of their overcrowded forests and gave them christianity.
