Why do men cheat?

Is monogamy really a myth?

Are guys predestined to cheat because it is human nature?

Scientists have long explained that men are biologically motivated to seek out multiple sex partners. This natural instinct ensures a healthy gene pool and the survival of our species.

If this is true, then one cannot expect fidelity from a man. It kind of lets guys off the hook when they wander doesn’t it?

So why do we feel guilty? If it is a man’s biological right to have sex wherever, whenever, with whomever, why should we worry about being caught?

Because somewhere along the way, self imposed “ethics” and “morality” placed restrictions on human behavior…including sex!
Perhaps if we guys didn’t seem to derive such pleasure from sex, it wouldn’t be such a sin. Think about it. If sex with multiple partners were just another “chore” for men as cleaning house and cooking meals is to women, would you girls get upset about it?
Probably not…poor guys!

Nevertheless…men do enjoy sex…a lot…and not always with their partner!

@ OP I think the question is not why do men cheat but Y do women date married men when they know they are married?? what goes around comes around, if you cheat on another person's husband, yours will cheat on U also, its a two way thing. I agree that most married men cant help cheating, but we women are encouraging their promiscuity toooooo!

This is the most intelligent post I've seen on this tread. Women cheat more discreetly than men and OMG!!! come see her crying and swearing over her innocence . But come to think of it KARMA is also involved here, how can a young lady keep going out with married men and expect not to be cheated on by their own husbands when they marry food for thought, everyone, food for thought.

There is no question that the true answer is rooted in biology and genetics. Ignoring that amounts to an unreasonable denial.

Flirtation and cheating comes with numerous social problems (esp for the female spouse) and man in his wisdom has tried to mitigate this by instituting monogamy in marriage.

Women who understand these issues of biology and genetics are more likely to live happier and more fruitful lives. Those who refuse to accept it usually die young from anger and frustration.

Above advice very important. . . very few men can go deliberately starved of sex for so long and remain faithful. Most women who want to keep their men are those who let the man have her whenever and wherever he wants. Give a man some good loving and he is probably too bored to think of another woman.

Besides. . . keep yourself looking GOOD (very important!), take care of the little things around the home and be dependable.

The capability of human (Homo-sapiens) brain separate it from other animals. If you take away the human brain and replace it with that of an ape (Hominoid), you would see your so-called human having wild escapade in the full glare of the world. Some do that already. Apart from the strength of the human brain, the ability to feel shame and guilt is also a human attribute. Some of the strength of human brain are divine gift and these further separate human from animals. However, apart from these special human attributes, there are universal animal attributes that are instinctively programed into human (as a more advanced animal). These are the need to satisfy earthly needs and pleasures.

Man like other male animals have been programed through millions/thousand years of evolution to spread their genes (i.e. DNA). The only way to do this is to have multiple sexual partners. Fortunately/Unfortunately for Man's desire to satisfy his pleasure, human through the power of the brain have evolved a more advanced societal organization where pre-determined rules and norms are expected to be followed or obeyed. For example, before puberty boys do not feel the need for sex but once the body undergoes these programmed changes, an average boy would (if allowed) have sexual activity with anything in skirt (except family relations). But as the boys grows, he begin to the understand his environment and the norms of the society he finds himself. Girls goes through the same process too but different societies, in these days and age, has different rules or norms for women. Man and women have been programed by societal influences to do certain socially acceptable "things" at some point in their lives. For example in Nigeria and other African countries, women have been programmed to be more submissive.

So when men sleep around they are only responding to the unrefined instinct from thousands of years of evolution, which is the earthly need to proliferate and multiply in numbers. Unfortunately, the human brain could tell the difference between need and desire, and unlike male animals that usually have sexual activity for breeding at pre-defined period or season in a year, Men usually want to have sexual relationship for the pleasure of satisfying their ego which is also an human "thing".

So my advice to ladies out there, simply help your man discover other things in him that would give him similar pleasure, and which can serve an alternative option for satisfying his ego. Fortunately for our women, society seem to have a large influence on them than men, and they are unlikely to give in to chasing certain earthly pleasure around, except if it is socially acceptable.

Ladies dont just bother , lets fck ourselfs, d guys will never stop cheating, even men of God.
